Expiration date
I’ve always had good luck when I have purchased from Amazon. However I was disappointed after purchasing an expensive product that you really enjoy and I see that the expiration date is three weeks from the date you purchase it. I don’t believe it was a good value for my money. Next time I will just purchase the product of the Beachbody site itself.

Mostly whey
My kid kept puking this up and i'm not in love w the first ingredient being whey. If i buy againnit'll be vegan chocolate, but i'll be scoping competition based on friend referrals first.

Delighted
60 days in flavor #2 and the weight is falling off. 11lbs so far. Great taste (with Fairlife 2%) and not looking back.

Medicine taste
I used this product a few years ago and the taste was one of the best I tried, but this time around I was surprised by the taste of medicine. It looks like the product was completely changed. Also too expensive.

Actually pretty darned good
I've only tried the chocolate Shakeology previously, but now that they actually offer sample sizes so you can try flavors before committing to that horrendous price, I decided to give the Vanilla and the Strawberry a try. In the interest of fairness, I first mixed a tiny bit with plain water, and found it was not too bad. Not great, but not revolting either. No nasty chemical taste, decent consistency.I generally use double the liquid, just so my shakes last longer. So, I mixed 1 cup of almond milk, 1/2 c water, and 1/2 c. coconut water, then threw in a tsp of vanilla extract. That was downright tasty! Still low calorie, but it improves the texture, punches up the vanilla flavor, and made the finished product much more satisfying. Finally, I mixed in 1 cup of blueberries with a few raspberries thrown in just because I needed to use them up. I also tossed in 3 or 4 ice cubes to thicken it up. The result was wonderful! Every bit as good as the chocolate. Now I need to get some more; I'm curious to try it with a couple of tsp of maple syrup and walnut butter. Hmmmm....

because I really don't think it tastes THAT bad. Sure
I didn't actually buy my Shakeology from Amazon. I bought it direct from Beach Body through a coach (of course) along with the 21 Day Fix program. Here are my thoughts so far:1. This is my second shake and so far I have only used the vanilla (I bought the one month supply sample pack). Maybe going into this after doing the research helped me know what to expect, because I really don't think it tastes THAT bad. Sure, it isn't to-die-for delicious, but it's a protein shake. WHAT DO YOU EXPECT? If you want something that good, forget the whole purpose of a protein shake and go get yourself a Blizzard from Dairy Queen. It does have a funky aftertaste. Nothing that a piece of gum or brushing your teeth can't take care of though. So far I have made mine with blueberries and ice and whipped it up in the Ninja, and that gave it a nice flavor. I don't dread drinking it, but it isn't my absolute favorite meal of the day.2. I did take note, after reading the reviews on here, that there were a number of pages of 5 star reviews with specific dates last November that followed quite a few negative reviews. I do think there is some shady stuff going on and that the Beach Body coaches push their product like crazy. That I don't particularly care for. So I ventured off and found different reviews on personal blogs and fitness forums. I was pleasantly surprised that there were more positives than negatives. So yeah, the Beach Body coaches might be doing their pyramid schemes, but that doesn't automatically make Shakeology a crappy product. Anytime you follow a fitness and nutrition regimen, you're going to get results. They're (Beach Body programs) not necessarily a bad investment.3. The price is horrendous. I can't say yet whether this is a deal breaker because I'm just in the beginning of my weight loss journey. But I would, at some point, like to see if a less expensive product could be just as effective. Sometimes you get what you pay for. If this is one of those instances and I can see obvious results in the way I feel and look then I might just stick with it.Bottom line....taste isn't terrible, and actually pleasant when paired with the right things. I'm excited to try some of the recipes that are included in the packaging. The price is pretty steep. Not sure I will be able to afford this on a regular basis and might have to try something like Herbalife next. It does keep you feeling full for quite awhile. Not sure what kind of impact it has on overall health since I just started. I will re-visit and update soon! But so far so good!
