Vincent van Gogh: A Life in Letters

This is a must have book for any type of artist or creator. The cover of the book feels like canvas, it has the tooth to it! It is a beautiful book and big, with illustrations inside. It has decent size print. The letters that Vincent wrote are captivating, just like his art! This book made me feel like I was not alone in my journey, and in my life journey. I highly recommend this book!

I read a Van Gogh biography, last year, and I loved it so much that I wanted a collection of his letters. I haven't read this yet, but I will be reading it soon. I just wanted to add a comment on the physical book itself.This book is so beautiful! I love the cover, the layout is clean, and the illustrations/photos included are a nice quality!

Rough reading...only because of how Vincent wrote his letters. The grammar usage of that day. Terminology some what different. But very well worth the Read.

I bought this book as I am an artist and wanted to read it. Wonderful letters to keep you turning your page. Love it!

I enjoyed the book and his letters. A different insight to his life and times.

The book itself is great, and does a lovely job illustrating his artistic process, internal ongoings and interpersonal relationships trough a mix of his letters and biographical information provided by the authors. Highly recommend it for anyone who's interested in Van Gogh. Unfortunately the package arrived a day late (without prior notice), package ripped half open and the book slightly damaged.

I’m not an avid reader but this is a collection of van goghs letters that give a great insight to his thoughts behind his amazing work

Well worth the read. Very informative and definitely a book to place on your book shelf if this historical topic is your thing
