Nice pot. I love it!

First, I am an avid All-Clad fan...made in America, outstanding quality. Also have 20 year old LeCruset, in red, which is still in service (2-day short ribs anyone?). About a year ago, i saw the Mauviel. This...THIS is the most elegant pan ever! The French are no slouches when it comes to cooking or fashion, and here, they combined both. It was love at first sight and adoration after the first time I used it. The best part is this pan makes the most outstanding risotto. Same recipe in every other pan has produced a fine finished product (no, I never stand there & stir constantly for 20 minutes adding a bit of broth as I go). I used this pan for company and made the best risotto ever to come out of my kitchen. I swear it's the splayed sides and the even heating. After repeating the same delicious results again and again, I bought a second one. Get over the guilt about the price.

You cannot go wrong with Mauviel. I love this well made and sturdy pot for everything. It is beautiful to boot!

This pan is a work of art as well as a workhorse. I love that it is easier to store, without one big long awkward handle. I would buy this again in a heartbeat.

These pans are for a lifetime. They are beautiful. just don't know the sizes mentioned don't match the description of them. I bought this particular one that said 9.4x9.4x6.5".I thought the dimensions 6.5" meant the height of the pan. I find it difficult to understand because the height is the same as the pan with 3.5". I have to contact the manufacturers or the distributors to clarify. Otherwise this is very beautiful and I love them.

So Comes in plain brown box than Pan & Lid in sperate paper bag inside with company logo on it. No Holy Grail moment & the Angels are singing. The lid is just a lid nothing special. The pan the hammered look is boring the handles are plain. I was hoping this would be my star attraction of cooking pots my 1st round draft choice to show. I have other pans that look the same if not better Heritage Steel,360 cookware just to name a few
