Great way to take a bit of New Orleans home
I recently visited New Orleans for a conference and had some time to spend in the French Quarter. I loved walking around and hearing jazz drifting through the night air. Before I left my hotel I found this CD and bought it for my wife, who is more appreciative of jazz than I am. We both have enjoyed the album. It was a great way to bring home some New Orleans' tunes.Even as one who doesn't consider myself a huge jazz fan, I enjoyed the songs on this CD. I'd recommend it to others. Hope this helped!

Great Sampling of New Orleans Music
Really love the tracks on this disc -- great sampling of New Orleans music. I bought it used and unfortunately it was not in great condition. Am returning the one I bought and will probably buy a new one.

Happy Hearted Music
I am at heart a Blues fan with little interest in Jazz but came across this CD of traditional New Orleans Jazz and loved it. I gained a new appreciation for Jazz by listening to this. The instruments themselves are so animated and you cannot help but move to the beat with this CD. Good mood music to feed the soul. Great addition to any collection.

Get a taste of Bourbon St.!
I bought this because my daughter was in New Orleans for 6 months and missed the sounds of the street. She said this is a very authentic collection and also said it made her want to go back for more!

Makes you want to sing and dance
So many genres make up New Orleans music. This hits most so you can pick the styles you want to add to your collection. Always like whatever Putomayo CD I've ever purchased.
