Great aid to ID location/severity infestation and helps interrupt mating cycle.
I got Indian meal moths after sitting a 20 lb bag of black oil sunflower bird seed in entrance hall and then not dealing with it for a long time. After seeing yellowish larvae crawling on the walls, I searched the internet to identify them and discovered their source was the sunflower seeds I had never transferred into the large plastic bin where I store birdseed. I immediately got rid of the sunflower seeds (now full of webs and alive with larvae) and searched the entire house with a strong flashlight and step stool to discover and destroy any larvae still crawling or which had pupated in corners of trim and where the walls meet the ceiling. However, in doing so, I realized how many cracks and crevices a house has where flashlight and hand cannot reach, and knew I was in trouble! Moths from the hidden pupae I had not discovered began emerging within a about a week all over the house. So, I ordered the Authenzo Pantry Moth Traps to hang in every area of the house to let me know the extent of the problem. For several weeks I got up on a step stool and with swift motion hand killed approximately 10-20 moths a night. After that, the number of moths reduced in number over many weeks to where I am now finding only 1-2 moths a couple times a week. Luckily since the source of the moths did not originate near my pantry, I only had a mild food infestation that included a couple bags of rice and lentils; but I did totally empty pantry, removed the shelf paper and wiped down the shelves and walls with a white vinegar/water solution before restocking. Now all pantry food (cereals, rice, beans, pasta, etc.) is stored in impenetrable airtight glass or heavy plastic containers. I have read this pest's life cycle can last between 30-300 days. Though I haven't seen any more larvae, I am still keeping a couple new Pantry Moth Traps up during this period. These traps do not rid you of pantry moths by itself. It attracts the males via pheromones, which for me has been an important moth quantity and location indicator. I am also assuming these traps will reduce the chance of a male meeting a female moth, and they will give me confidence when I see no new moths in my traps. As of this month so far, I have seen only 1 new moth in one trap and feel with continued vigilance and no more black oil sunflower seeds left out, this problem is under control. I do recommend this product as part of the solution to a pantry moth infestation.

Work the best of any other trap we've used on these @#$&/% moths! ;)
We have been plagued by these @#&+% moths since last Spring when we opened up a bag of dry cat food (off brand) & they came flying out. We have gotten rid of every scrap of cardboard in our kitchen & storage areas. All non-refrigerated foods are either vacuum sealed in heavy plastic or are in glass jars (jars left from spaghetti sauce & condiments are great, as are the old stand-by Mason jars of various sizes. ) Every shelf was thoroughly washed & sprayed with Home Defense. Every curtain was either washed or put out in the icy cold for 5 days. Ditto for clothes , coats and everything in the closets. We've swept every niche & even bought a high-powered Shark vac to suck up the possible breeding areas.Despite all this we can't seem to be able to find where the moths are coming from so we've gone through several brands of traps -some way more expensive - trying to break the cycle. ***These are by far the most effective traps we've found.*** Even when we think there are only a few moths left putting out a fresh trap proves the problem is ongoing. We still have to kill the females by hand but that's with all the traps sold. (Wish someone would invent a female moth catcher... would be a big help!)Next step is to have our vents cleaned come Spring. Until then we'll keep using these highly effective little traps. Might even try fogging the house but haven't heard if this works. Of course we'd need to get the cats out of the house for a few hours, plus they enjoy chasing these flying pests. Oh well, sooner or later we'll actually be able to make it through 24hrs without seeing a single rotten little demon moth. I won't miss all the black streaks on my walls & ceilings. Til then we'll just keep putting out these handy & effective traps.

Completely useless! This is the one time I am frustrated with a clean surface!
I once had a pretty bad infestation over two years ago, and since then, I have kept one or 2 of these traps set-up, just in case. Ordered 2 boxes when I had a few left over from the other brand, so did not open this until outside the return window. I had used 2 different brands (Guarm and Dr. Killinger) in the past, but thought I would give this one a try. With the other brands, I literally had moths appear from thin air as I was setting them up. With this brand, I have one set up for almost 2 months, and I have seen a few moths (at least ONE would have been a male?) flying around in the kitchen, but believe it or not, this trap has not worked on even one. I needlessly bought 2 boxes, and I am stuck outside the return window. Pity. Not only would I like my money back, but would also like to warn other customers.

Thank God for this product
I had been fighting the moths in my kitchen and garage since March because of some cheap bird food I bought. I was killing them left and right and not really putting a dent in the population. I had to through so much food away. Put things in glass containers. Through all boxes away. After months of the everyday and night ritual I found these Pantry Moth Traps. They attract the male moth and he gets stuck on the sticky surface. I couldnt believe how many males got stuck in the traps. Then I would find the females hanging around waiting for the males.....which I killed. It took about a month and constant killing of the females and any worm webs I found and destroyed to have days go by with out a single sighting. You have to give their hatching cycle a chance to stop. After a couple of months free I still keep the traps out just in case :/
