High quality hardware, easy solution
single point, so easy installation. This is high quality boat hardware. Works smoothly and should last a long time. I have 6 of these with bicycles. 4 are stacked on 16 inch centers and you do have to fiddle slightly to avoid tangling the bikes with a bit of sway due to the one point connection. No big deal. I like the way it supports using webbing on wheels with metal clasps. If your bike wheels can't take the weight of hanging the bike, I wouldn't be riding that bike down a bumpy road.

It is easy to install and use
This Hoister System is well designed and works very well. It is easy to install and use. I placed this hoist system over my car, so I considered any way it might fail. I decided that if the spring failed, the bicycle would repel to the ground (or the hood of my car). The directions suggest tying the loose end of the rope to a cleat placed on a wall, but that is not necessary. Just tie the loose end to the bicycle frame. If the spring fails, the bike cannot descend because the loose end of the rope is attached to the bicycle with no slack, so it cannot slip down.

Best hoist systems out there.
I have bought multiple Harken Hoists(2 kayak, 3 bikes(1 is used for a ladder)) and each time I am extremely happy with the purchase. There are other systems that are cheaper, but these are robust, easy to install and work better than anything else. They are worth the extra money.

Best Hoister available!
I have four these for my bikes and kayaks. They are the best Hoisters made - well worth the money. I've tried others and they were junk. Harken make hardware for sailboats - top end stuff.

Harken knows pulleys & ropes
Bought 4 of these to mount our bikes. Easy 1 hole to drill installation. Pull and you can lift the bike all the way to ceiling. Top quality Harken hardware and rope. Harken is the company that makes heavyweight winches, blocks and other gear for sailboats.

Tough to keep Neat
Purchased 4 for bikes to raise to a 12' ceiling. Line was too short to lower all the way. Needed to add additional line. Also line hangs from the ceiling. A second pulley by the wall would be helpful to keep line neat.
