Just like it says on the package, the markers take 40 seconds to charge. The's markers are fantastic. I update the chalk board at work every weekend and the markers work like a charm. They take a little elbow grease to erase, but that works well for me so kids don't smudge the chalkboard before it's time to update.

I purchased these markers to write on some blackboard contact paper to make a sign for my laundry room they worked wonderfully well! I love them! Thank you for a great product that is just as described. They write smoothly and flow so well. I really like them.

Before purchasing this product, be sure to check how many of the positive reviews are from individuals who have received the product in exchange for their "unbiased" review.This product has a hard time coming off of most surfaces. We have a chalkboard sign and have used several pens with it. This was the only one that left significant residue. It was even difficult to get off of the window. I understand that it should only be used on non-porous surfaces, and I further understand that I neglected to have a technician come out to tell me that my chalkboard was porous, but "chalk" is probably a term of art here, and the idea that my wife needs to read the fine print to discover that these chalk pens can't be used on chalk boards is ridiculous.

I love how solid when we use it on glass or chalk boards. It was super easy to clean too. I love the brightness of it. Only bummer is the life. I wish it lasts longer. But with this price, it makes sense.

These were perfect for 'chalkboard painted' signs that we wrote on for signage at our wedding. I also used this to write on glass windows. Both looked great. You have to press and hold down for the ink to soak the tip before writing. The chalk board painted signs will likely need to be re-painted in order to use again, but the windows wiped off with Windex. I would recommend.

Pens worked great was able to do all our stockings and the one pen still has tons of life in it.

The chalk pen writes beautifully after you press the pen down on a hard surface for about 60 seconds for the liquid to flow to the tip. Highly, highly disappointed on how hard it is to remove from the chalkboard. It does NOT easily wipe off! After scrubbing with 409, I decided to use a magic eraser and it takes it right off! So if you're going to buy this product also buy a pack of magic erasers.

Was really looking forward to using these around the house to label storage boxes for which I made "chalkboard" labels on my cricket. The first thing I noticed, when removing these pens from the box, is that two of the four have tops that refuse to stay on the pen while closed. I have to make sure I keep the pens upright now--kind of a hassle, considering I usually put my pens in a drawer. The other thing is that they take forever to load the paint. I was actually worried the first time I used one, because I had to keep the pen's tip pushed in for at least a minute, and "pump" the pen tip down repeatedly to get it to load. I use paint pens all the time, and I've never had such a problem with one. In fact, I was worried it would all glop out finally, because that's what would happen if I "fed" any other paint pen the way I had to with these.So...they perform just okay, so far...but these issues were enough to make me wonder if I got a bad set. I've gotten to the point with Amazon's reviews being so obfuscated by either false reviews or overly generous "vine" reviews that I feel I have to question the validity of any "five star" rated product. This product is an example of why I feel I can no longer rely on the purported ratings--I really expected a much better product than I received. :(
