Unbelievable colour at night
I was a bit sceptical if the camera would be any good at night but it’s like daytime when viewing. It’s definitely a game changer from the standard night vision cameras. It’s a lot bigger than the usual bullet cameras, more of an industrial looking camera.Get one you won’t be disappointed.Didn’t buy via Amazon but from the annke US store as it worked out cheaper and code NCSeries knocks 30-40% off at checkout.

Great night vision!
I only have the illumination from the house number light and yet the color and clarity is great!

Terrible resolution
So I was hooking up the new cameras I had bought (NC800 and C800) and was testing them side by side to see how much better the color nightvision actually was. For some reason, the NC800 with color night vision had absolutely terrible resolution in both day and night modes. It looked like a 720p camera and everything is blurry. I went into configuration and tried changing all the settings around to see if maybe the camera was in the wrong mode. It said it was in 4k, and I tried every resolution available and none of them made any change in picture quality. I also tried all the image setting and encoding codecs, nothing helped. The C800 works great and is very clear, but this NC800 seems like it is a 720p camera in comparison.

Incredibly capable camera
I am really impressed with the low light sensitivity of this camera. It can appear to be completely dark outside but the camera makes it appear as if it is daytime. The resolution and sharpness of the video feed are excellent during the day and at night too.

The color night vision is incredible, but a short cable makes for challenging installation
Incredible night vision quality. They win the game there.Unfortunately, the cable is way too short, limiting your options on installation. I've had two of these die on me because the angle of the installation vs. the cable run was such that it was impossible to set up a good drip loop, resulting in liquid eventually penetrating the connector and shorting the data lines. On the second time, I did everything I could to seal off the connector, but water is a relentless foe. Eventually I swapped it for a different camera with a longer cable, and I've had no trouble since. It's a good camera overall, but because they wanted to save 5 cents on cabling, it's best suited for installations where you'll be able to shield it overhead from weather. If not, at a minimum, you might want to shove a glob of silicone on and around the PoE connection before covering it up with the included jacket.

the best night camera in this price range.
I have had no trouble setting up this camera or hooking it up too my network through a POE switch. Great sensor,
