Love it!
This book is fun for adult or kids. The designs are very cool. The trick is to color it like a mirror, with the same colors reflecting each other. We use wax crayons, wax pastels, color pencils or markers. We like the wax pastels because the color is richer than crayons or pencils. Color pencils are nice in that they are easy to sharpen. Markers provide the most vibrant colors. A large pack of inexpensive markers works just fine. Its a good idea to scan a page, print it out to color on and keep the originals as masters. Each design is on its own page so you can use markers to color the originals if you want.A very relaxing way to pass the time. Can be done while watching TV, or if you want to escape for awhile into a world of illusions.

I don't know what it is.....
I don't know what it is about patterns, circular patterns, patterns. Patterns that seem to make you want to grab your pencils or crayons, and PLAY with the designs! As a child I used to make circular and other geometric kinds of patterns using a compass, or a ruler, or just freehand. I've never lost that love of playing with designs, and colors, and I'm quite a few decades past the "young" stages of my life.!This book of Mandalas is a bit more organized than I might have been as a child drawing freehand designs, yet, it's a great way to begin, again, and again, to envision colors, and patterns, maybe even to think in a kaleidoscopic way.Quite nice.

Very nice patterns
You can really tell these are hand drawn. I like this fact so when I color them it will look like I drew them. Oh I'll not make any such claims but they are really pretty. They come one to a page which I like. If using markers in some other books they bleed through and so you lose the one on the back, that doesn't happen here. Nice thick quality paper. If you like coloring to relax this is a great choice.

Great for the newbie.
My first attempt at this. Pleased that these mandalas are neither too simple or too complex. Of course the drawings are all just what they are; it's our reactions that make things difficult. I read the reviews for nearly all the mandala coloring books. Sure is confusing. And perhaps people are too picky for books that sell for under $7. Anyway, I got lucky with this one. Also, was pleased with the Colore pencils set, 60 pencils for $14.

Love these adult coloring books!
I color with these frequently. I am disabled and sometimes stuck in bed and these are great to keep me busy without the TV. I find it very relaxing and a joy to be creative with the colors. I use the Prisma pencils with them along with a shading pencil and this allows me to mix, blend, and highlight all of the shapes to my liking. Are they absolutely perfect drawings, no. But they are hand drawn. Whoever said they were sloppy clearly didn't read the cover or description. The hand drawing makes them that much more appealing to me. Much rather have them hand drawn that computer generated.

Relaxing
These Mandalas are wonderful, because whenever things get hectic and our child is feeling the stress she'll pull out the book and start coloring. Now she is creating her own and talking or singing while "creating" she is expressing a lot of thoughts that otherwise may or may not get a chance to come out. I highly recommend it for any person that needs to find a reason to sit down and relax....

Just as good as the First!
Get out the Ultra-fine markers!I use these for calming down. They work great! When I don't want to scream and fight I take oneto color and think about the day. I try to stay in thelines. I try to make it perfect and it can take me8 hours to color just one of them. They arenot just a "coloring" book to me. The are my"sanity" safer.

Beautiful, organic, relaxing.
Really loving these. I use them for prayer, meditation, and to get past writing blocks. I find the hand-drawn designs so much more organic and relaxing to color. They allow me to focus more on my meditation vs. consideration of color scheme or artistic perfection (since I'm nowhere near an artist). I've put many more of these on my wish list. They are, simply, one of my most important new writing tools.

Mandalas colouring book review
I thought this book was very well drawn with lots of different designs in it. My daughter has almost finished colouring it in! I even did a couple of them too. I would recomend it to my friends who have children that like to colour. Its also very different from the usual colouring books. Will be buying others simular to this one.
