Backpacked in a area that didn’t require bear canisters. Read a lot of reviews about these bags and decided to try them out.. Worked great. No encounters with wild life wanting our food. Maybe we were lucky maybe it wasn’t the bags but hey how does anyone know. We traveled lighter this way and there is a lot of reviews that talk abt the seems ripping easily. Well, that could happen for sure! We were as careful as possible and didn’t overpack the bags and they were fine. Could see that it could have been an issue though. It would be amazing to have this company redo these bags with a stronger more reliable seem at the zipper.

As a test, I bought some guava and put it in one of these bags. If you’ve been near ripe guava, you’ll know it has an extremely strong and noticeable scent. This bag blocked it entirely. My dog could not smell it after placing the bag on the floor. This will work well for camping. I have zero doubts

Excellent waterproof and odor proof bags that I use regularly when backcountry camping. After getting 7 years of routine use out of my old bags I replaced them. Highly recommend.
