Perfect fit, great quality and easy install
Perfect fit, great quality and easy install. Pop out the pump and fitting from your old tank, mount up the shrouds and reinstall. Probably 90-100+ mile on KTM 500exc. Great quality tank!

Low quality control! Buyer beware!
I bought this tank to have a bit more piece of mind as far as fuel range on my KTM. When I was installing the tank I made sure to inspect the inside while I was changing over my fuel pump. Everything looked clean and there were no plastic shavings or debri. All is well right? Nope! After installing the tank and a few hours of riding, I had the bike in my garage and went to fill it with fuel. I noticed something floating in the tank...I fished out the silicone ring that you see in my pic. That is silicone that squished out from where the fill hole is screwed into the tank. An Acerbis assembler went way overboard with the amount used to seal the fill hole and all that squeezed out. After riding a few hours and fuel splashing at the top of the tank the silicone broke away where it was floating in the tank. UGH! I also found silicone particles floating around. I ended up having to take the tank apart and flush it out to make sure there was no more (clear, very hard to see) silicone in the tank. BUYER BEWARE! Take from my experience what you will. I just want others to know this happened and they can act accordingly. Maybe feel along the edge of the fill ring on the inside of the tank and peel off any excess silicone before installing...

Make sure to check cap vent tube , mine was broken. Installing fuel pump is kind of difficult
Installed on a 2015 KTM 250SXF and was a perfect fit. Other than a fuel line modification .

A must have for KTM500 Dual sport riding
Fit almost perfect fit and the extra fuel allowed me to ride long days at Moab.....KTM500xc. I had no issues snaking the fuel pump through it. You can see your fuel level easy. I really think on a KTM500 this about the biggest you really want to go in size or you start giving up so if the qualities and handling of the bike. Bout 140 mile range on my KTM.......low fuel light comes on when you have about a gallon left in the tank
