Fit my machine perfectly, quarter inch seams are perfect

I had another one of these from a different brand that worked well with my Janome machine, but but wasn’t angled correctly for my new Brother cs7000i. So I got this one, and it’s perfect! The metal seems durable, and it clicks in super easily to the shank and you’re good to go! Accurate 1/4 inch seam all the time. Guide bar feels sturdy and I wouldn’t bother trying to make a 1/4 inch seam without it.

Really happy with this universal (low shank) presser foot. It’s great for piecing fabric for a quilt with a scant 1/4”. The needle hole is large enough to shift your needle a bit for the scant 1/4” which is absolutely necessary for quilting. Nice solid metal foot keeps the fabric flat versus some competitors who use lightweight plastic. Works great on my Singer Quantum Stylist sewing machine.

This is a great tool! My sewing machine doesn’t have a 1/4” line on the throat plate. Since my regular presser foot doesn’t measure exactly 1/4” either, it was difficult to get an accurate quarter inch quilting seam. Now I lay the edge of my fabric against the piece of metal that extends down from the foot and I get an accurate 1/4” seam. So glad I bought this attachment.

The shipping was quick and was glad that it fit my machine. I have not used it yet to see that the size stitch is correct or not but so far happy with my purchase.

I’d bought a Brothers sewing machine just to take on getaways...I’ve had it for 4-5 years and when I got it, I’d purchased another 1/4” foot. Well, I was getting the machine out to take to FL at Christmas and tried out that foot. Much larger 1/4” allowance than my regular machine had. I decided to give this one a try...this price was perfect and yay! It is truly a scant 1/4”! So happy with it!

I was really hoping this foot would be helpful in piecing my quilt pieces, but it is more trouble than its worth. The left side of the foot is shorter and catches under the seams instead of gliding over them. I have to stop, lift the presser foot, adjust fabric and then continue sewing...or have to slow way down and use a stiletto to make sure the seam goes under the foot instead of on top of it. I do not rcommend.

Helps reduce the “balling” up of material at the starting edge. Seems to sew narrow seams better than a regular foot because of the small needle hole vs. the large needle area of a regular presser foot. Wish I would have bought this a long time ago.
