The journal is high quality and just what I was looking for. Unfortunately, instructions for password reset are not included. I had to get back onto Amazon and do a copy/past of those images, transfer them to a google doc and then print. Kind of a hassle, but important for a 10-year old to have those instructions.

My 8 year old wanted a locking diary. What 8 year old doesn't? And this one is purple, has a pretty design, AND LOCKS. So she was pretty jacked. Just be sure if you are buying this for a child that you are there to help them get started or they will lock themselves out of it.

It was given as a graduation gift for my niece. She loved it. I liked it as well, easy to write, it lays flat.
