Exactly the part I needed. I've had to replace this part twice on my dryer. Easy to replace and seems to be the same quality as the original part. I wish that they were more durable but that has more to do with the dryer design than this part. I only have two issues. One is that this time the clip was much too tight. When you closed the dryer it would not open again. I fixed it by just squeezing the male part of the latch with pliers to make it fit better. The second issue is that this is the second time I've replaced this part. It's as sturdy as the original but if the dryer door loosens up even a little bit it no longer lines up with the latch. If you close it without noticing it will break these cheap plastic latches. It seems like the replacement part should be a little beefier or a design that compensate for this problem.

I have a Kenmore dryer (model: 41781122310) and it was a perfect replacement for my broken door catch. It was ridiculously easy to install and fit just right. The door’s original latch fits in the new catch easily. You don’t have to slam it shut and it will hold it closed. Other companies charge over $40 for this part, so this is a much easier and cheaper option!

I was having an issue with my dryer door not staying shut! I came on here and was happy to find this . It works great and my dryer door is actually staying closed! I was having to lodge a pole up against my dryer door to keep it shut! It was an easy install I was able to do it myself! It pops right in after removing the old one. It feel’s quality and it is made of plastic and the metal prong which is exactly what was on my dryer it is the same thing! Thankfully I was able to find this and it is working great !
