Alexander Simpson Est. 1919 Ultra-Glide Shave Cream 180ml (Lime) Simpsons Shaving cream

Since Simpson makes arguably the best shave brush on the market I figured they knew a thing or two about shave creams; I was right. This is a wonderful product. The scent is a light lime and the cream builds a beautiful lather in virtually seconds. The lather is protective, reasonably slick and bountiful enough for multiple passes - if you're so inclined. I can get a top notch shave with one pass and a touch up or two. The cream does not dry out my skin and feels great all day long. Give it a shot - you'll love it.

This cream whips up quickly with only minimal product on brush. The shave was clean and smooth. Even after a shower, aroma remained for a few hours. Excellent product.

I’m searching for a nice lime scent cream and have tried TOBS, Castle Forbes, and now Simpson so here’s the rundown.Simpson is probably the best value of the 3. The consistently reminds me of Noxema as a kid — kind of an oily paste, but it works up to a lather. TOBS and Castle Forbe and a different consistency and foam more.TOBS Lime has a stronger scent and unfortunately that includes patchouli that makes you smell like a hippy so that was a let down. Castle Forbes was a pretty nice scent and probably the most natural lime scent. Simpson smells like citrus, but It’s more of a lemongrass /citronella scent.I will say all 3 come in plastic tubs and the TOBS has a much nicer container with a lid that has some ribs that creates grip — it seems minor, but Simpson and Castle Forbes are difficult to open and close with wet hands.

Easy lathering with a brush, and great smell. I also get good protection. I've tried many shave creams before I settled on Simpson's Bay Rum as my everyday shave cream.

This is a great shave cream. Use it with a Simpson brush to work up a great smelling, thick lather on your way to one of the best shave of your life. The after shave balm is a nice compliment to this as well.

This product has a great reputation and delivers on its promise to lather into a super slick foam. The scent is unlike any bay rum product on the market and makes me unlikely to purchase again.

This is the best I’ve tried. I had a Simpson’s shaving brush and figured I’d try their shaving cream. I dip the brush and lather it on my face, I get zero razor burn since I switched to using this.

Absolutely awful. Slick feel to cream feels like wet wax. Chemical odor without aroma of lime.

Can’t smell anything like bay rum Which is why I bought it
