A Perfect Cup – Great Package for the Price
A little background: I am 30 years old and have given vaginal birth 4 times. I have long loved the idea of reducing waste wrt menstrual products. For the last 6 years, I've used tampons because the idea of throwing applicators in the trash every month is appalling to me. I'm not a hippie or a tree-huger by any means, but I don't want to create more waste than I need. I also liked how little space the tampons took in my purse. Because I was already familiar with my lady parts, trying a cup seemed like the natural progression.Ladies, do yourself a favor and convert to this cup! I really liked this one. This has seriously made having my period less miserable. I know science say "not likely" but, from personal experience, using this cup has drastically reduced the severity of my cramps - they are almost non existent and I used to be pale faced doubled over in pain with cramps for the first 24/48 hrs.BLYSS cup is comfortable, easy to use (once you get the hang of it), no toxic chemicals, better for your body, better for the environment, cost effective, no cramps, no period smell, no wet tampon string, you don't have to change nearly as often as you would with tampons, no feeling of ripping your insides out like with tampons have haven't absorbed enough liquid), doesn't effect the natural stuff that's going on down there and won't dry you out like tampons can.Thought it would help to share some instructions for a first time cup user. Always wash your hands before touching your vagina, especially near your cervix. Relax your uterine muscles and locate your cervix so you know just how deep to insert the cup. Using 1 finger, fully insert it until you reach "the end" of your vagina, it will feel like a soft round sponge. My cervix is very high and I have a tilted uterus, I have no problems using this cup. There are several ways to fold the cup, play around with options until you find a comfortable fold. Insert the cup similar to how you would a tampon, aiming towards your tailbone rather than straight up. When you get the cup at least 3/4 in, gently allow the cup to unfold then slowly push the rest of the way in. All the way. Some pics will make it appear as if the cup is sitting right inside the vagina but if you actually have a vagina you'll know that isn't gonna stay put. You'll know it's in place because it will feel as if nothing is even there. If there's any discomfort you should remove it and try again. If it hurts to go to the bathroom, number 1 or 2, chances are you don't have the cup inserted properly. You should be able to comfortably pee and poo without even noticing your cup is in you. If your cup is leaking, chances are it's not inserted correctly or you need a larger size. Every vagina is different so don't base your needs off the manufactures suggestions. To remove the cup, you're supposed to pinch the base to release suction. To clean my cup during use I simply rinse with warm water and wipe away the "uterine slime" with my fingers, using mild hand soap. After my period was over I boiled it as explained in the instruction book, then stored it in the storage bag it came with. Once I became comfortable with inserting and removing, I cut stem all the way off, this is my preference. My flow ranges from light to heavy, or so I thought. I usually dump it as often as I would change a tampon, about every 6 hours (you can safely wear this cup for 12 hours). The amount of blood I see in the cup doesn't compare to my overly saturated tampons at all. My tampons would get so "full' the string would be covered in blood after 6 hours. Makes me think tampon absorbency is highly exaggerated. I would occasionally wear pads or pantie liners in combo with tampons during my heaviest days, so that when the string became saturated there was something more to protect my underwear. I've had zero leakage with my cup. To be disgustingly honest, I can't stand the smell of my period. But the entire time I have used this cup, I have had zero nasty period smell. My entire attitude about having periods has changed, I'm actually bummed my period is over and I have to wait another 3 weeks to use my cup. I will never buy tampons or pads again. So gals, make the change, stop spending money month after month on pads, tampons, pantie liners. This thing will pay for itself and lasts for years.

It seems weird to write a review about a woman’s menstrual product, but I HAVE to!! My period is AWFUL! I bleed through a tampon and pad within two hours the first couple days of my cycle. I wake up at night with blood up my back when sleeping and just accepted this as an annoying part of having a vagina for YEARS! The whole concept of a period cup has always intrigued, yet GROSSED me out! After a friend tried it and loved it, I decided to “pull the plug” and could not be more impressed! This thing is SO EASY to put in, and if you feel it, try again without the awful feeling of pulling out a dry tampon. But what about changing it when you’re not at home? This thing catches so much blood that unless you’re out for more than 12 hours, don’t worry about it! I’m flabbergasted at how little a tampon soaks up! Anywho, I am a tiny (100 ibs), 35 YO mom who has given birth twice and ordered the large. If you’re reading the reviews it’s bc you’re thinking about it.. just click add to cart get it over with! You won’t be disappointed!

REVOLUTIONARY. LIFE CHANGING.
I cannot express how this has changed my life. Never again will I use tampons or pads. I’m never going back. I’m going to save so much money. It was comfortable. Seems durable. Flexible. Not too hard or thick like the Lena Cup (main name brand that’s $30 for 1). It was easy to put in because it was so flexible. Doesn’t leak from movement. Easy to clean and rinse. I’m a mom and have no worries about it during the day to day. I leave it in all night with no worries. I can’t express how life changing this is for me. They say they last 15 years, and I bought 2 more so that I wouldn’t need anymore tampons ever again.Edit: I deducted a star because when I received 2 more, both of the packages had previously opened with the seals broken. I added a second picture to show. I can sterilize it, but I don’t like the idea of getting a used one under the guise of it being new. Still an amazing product and I will keep them because I can sterilize them, even if they were used.

Freedom-comfortable and more secure than others
So.... I've been thinking about trying these things for a while now. Years ago I used Instead SoftCups which I loved, but were so messy... Ewww. So after much research and debate I decided upon BLYSS Cup, am so glad I did!Tips: you should NOT leak, if you are leaking it is not in right or you have the wrong size in. I am 32 with no children and use BLYSS small size cup. I found this cup to be just the correct size - the vagina is like an umbrella and will open to accommodate the 'girth'. You should not feel this at all (unless you kegel). Tampons you can sometimes feel - they are long, or are poking something in an odd angle, and they dry you out - this, you should not feel at all as the vagina itself has no nerve endings. However, if you are uncomfortable, it is in at an odd angle and poking at the wrong angle. If so, take it out and re-insert.You must fold this to insert it!Tip 2: Before you insert clean yourself up, insert it, and clean yourself up again. This will help you figure out if you are leaking truly or it is just blood caught around the cup after insertion.Tip 3: know your flow! There are days when you have heavier flow. Remove and drain the cup more often on these days.Sanitize in boiling water after your cycle. This should last you YEARS!

Yeah sure good buy
Small so not so scary . Reading the directions does help . So far it’s good but even with frequent cleaning the stem is getting a little discolored , but everything is fine . It’s good as long as you are comfortable touching your goo .

So far, disappointed.
So far, very disappointed. The directions inside were for their UV light and not for the steamer, so I had to come here for instructions. The button stays pushed in for less than 1 minute and then shuts off again. The container is hot to the touch, so I can't even open it to see if I need to put more water inside.
