Best analog video signal before you go digital
First there was coaxial cable, then composite, s-video, component, SCART, VGA, DVI and finally HDMI.

Great value for $10, and Monster's higher quality parts make a difference because this is an Analog, not Digital Cable
Since VGA and RCA audio are analog standards, this analog cable from Monster is well worth the $10 price it was discounted to when I got it, and is easily worth $20 or even $30 even if it weren't discounted. My main complaint is that there was no RCA to 3.5mm converter included with this cable, when they're included with Microsoft's official cables, or even many 3rd party ones that cost around $20. I must note however, that this cable can only output up to a maximum of 720p or 1080i, and can't match the full 1080p that an HDMI connection with a 360 can put out. 720p is good enough for me however, because I'm connecting my 360 to a 1600 x 900 LCD monitor at my computer desk.Like other reviewers, I also feel compelled to join the chorus in saying that it's only worth buying Monster for analog cables rather than digital cables. Digital cables transfer information in such a way that is very robust, and information usually either comes out perfectly, or not at all. So investing in a higher quality cable doesn't get you a better quality signal. In plain english (avoiding techno-jargon people probably won't read): if you're using a digital cable (like an HDMI cable) and you're getting a picture or sound at all, the picture/sound you're getting is as good as it's going to get, and using a more expensive cable isn't going to make your sound or video any better. You also know when your digital cable isn't working when you get no signal at all (which is the usual case if your cable's not working) or EXTREME distortion and "snow" that mekes your video unwatchable (which is much rarer than just not getting anything at all). Analog cables however can have signals that can degrade or not be quite so good if the cable materials aren't as good (especially over distance) so investing in Monster quality for Analog cables isn't bad if you can afford them.I would be remiss, however, if I didn't say that buying cables from Amazon (Amazon's official brand, such as the "Amazon Basic" HDMI cables, not cables from random vendors on Amazon) or Monoprice is probably a better idea most of the time if you're looking for great quality at a great price. I must say in this case though that Monoprice.com's X-box 360 VGA cables aren't that great, however, and should be avoided if you don't want ghosting or not particularly sharp visuals that barely output 720p adequately. Having owned Intec's 360 VGA cables, I must also say that they aren't good either and that it's worth paying extra to buy official Microsoft cables, or Monster's instead. Especially when they're being sold at $10 to $25.

Overpriced
When I got my xbox 360, I decided to hookup with the VGA cable on my HDTV. I purchased a Microsoft VGA cable at first and was very happy with it, but with the reputation and my past experiences with using Monster cables I decided to get a VGA Monster cable. The VGA Monster cable produces a crisp and sharp picture and the sound is nothing short of amazing. The only complaint I have for this cable is that you can not use a regular digital optical cable. I bought the cable not knowing that you must have a digital optical cable with a Toslink adapter. With a price tag of $59.99 for the VGA Monster cable, I had to spend another $29.99 for the Monster GameLink 360 Fiber Optic Cable. If you're looking for something cheap that will deliver quality picture and quality sound, then you should definately purchase a Microsoft brand VGA cable for only $39.99 that doesn't require a Toslink adapter. If you are willing to spend $100 for all of the Monster equipment, then Monster is the way to go. But if you are on a budget, the Microsoft VGA cable will work work perfect.

MonsterĀ® GameLink A/V Cable [ VGA & Audio Lft. and Rgt. RCAs ]
The Monster Gamelink is always must for any type of Game Console, from my point of view, I always say. I was impressed what I have seen on the Package and found later when I was ready to connect my New Set of Monster GameLink and found out that it has the 1/8 Female Connector for an Add-On Monster GameLink Fiber Optic Adaptor Cable, but when I went looking for it inside the package, I came to finding out that it is an "Option: Sold Seperately". The Cable is matched up Theme for the Jasper Colored Xbox 360. It is a 10ft. in length which pretty much long enough from your TV to the side of your Bed or towards your Coffee Table. The connectors for the VGA & RCA for the Left and Right Audio are always the coolest issues to plug and connect. It's pretty much a Plug & Play concern, not unless if you have an awkward position on the back and or side of your TV. This really bummed me out really bad, due to a long search and cross referencing research.

Love it but slight problem!!!
OK, Great product. Love the detail that is shown on my LCD only problem is the audio output wont output to for instance on my TV is a headphone jack input for audio when you set it to VGA. So when I use this cable its all video and no audio. Since I dont have a high speed awesome sound system. So, If you have a sound system separate from your TV that uses digital output. then your in business, if you have independant control over the audio input on your tv and can set you TV to VGA and RCA Audio. Than this cable is perfect. However if your the average kid. or your like me and deployed to Iraq and dont have a sound system to output the audio to. Sorry but this cable is not going to work for you. I highly suggest the HDMI or SCART (If you can find this one) cables.

Crisp and clear
I have a bad combination of an original Xbox (no HDMI) and a "black Friday" TV (the discounted TVs on black friday usually do not have a lot of inputs; read the fine print). So i was swapping component cables when i wanted to play my 360 or Wii.I've been using Monster Cables for years and will always recommend them for ANALOG cables. Now my 360 connects via the VGA ports.-1 Star for 2 reasons 1. Most TVs with a VGA port use a 1/8" jack for audio. Using RCA required me to get an additional adapter. 2. need an adapter that is not included in order to use an optical cable with this product.*Their digital cables are needlessly over priced and unnecessary. Just because of the way digital signals work. But that is another story*
