I was hoping that an old military book would be more helpful and well-rounded.Building what I'd classify as a "larger outbuilding" I was looking for more information on how to design and build a "pier and beam" foundation. I didn't find much here.Not a bad book for your reference library - if you can find it cheap. This book sold for $4.50 brand new (back in the day) keep your eyes open and you may find one at a bargain price.

I bought this book for building concepts and it provides and fulfills that purpose. It is not overly descriptive but a interesting and valuable resource.

This is a book that is especially good for anyone wanting to brush up on their framing techniques. Particularly good at explaining roof framing. Excellent drawings and sketches. Lots of old school seabee know how for anyone in a farm or rural setting.

One of the most useful construction books I own, and have consulted it hundreds of times over the last 45 years. I bought this copy as a gift for a young person.
