Jiffyloc Heavy Duty Extension Pole, 8-16 Feet, Made In USA

This is by far the best extendable painters pole I've ever used. One reviewer described it as "heavy duty, just plain heavy". Well yes it is somewhat heavy, possibly heavier that an all aluminum pole but considering it's 16 foot length and very robust construction that's fine with me. I was able to use this with the GoSaw pruning saw (http://www.amazon.com/Combination-Pole-Mount-Hand-Held-Pruning-13-inch/dp/B00KPOI7E2) to trim otherwise unreachable branches on our willow tree that were overhanging the house for which a tree service company would have charged hundreds. Even at maximum extension the pole was stiff enough to allow control of the saw effectively.The extension is very easy to adjust with the spring latch and notch system which locks positively. The square section aluminum extension stops any unwanted twisting and is fairly heavy duty section which, yes, might add to the weight but I'd much rather have that than compromise the stiffness. The bottom section appears to be made from robust glass fiber tube. The standard ACME screw connector is made from sturdy zinc alloy die-cast material rather than weak plastic- the one possibly very minor downside is that the threads may not have been perfectly formed so I had to use a bit of force to screw the GoSaw on - but that could just as well have been a problem with the GoSaw threads - in any case that was a benefit for me as it meant the saw was tightly attached - no loosening/unscrewing while in use.I've already had request to borrow it from neighbor. I'm going to use it to paint the soffits and clean exterior of gutters. This is a great product!

I am very pleased with this pole. It has a superb locking feature that will not come loose like other poles that require turning a device to tighten and lock. This pole has machined slots every 6 inches which firmly hold the pole at the desired length, and gives the user many lengths to choose from. Fully extended, the pole is very stable with almost no play. Jiffyloc obviously takes pride in manufacturing their products. And the pole is made in the U.S.A.

This pole is phenomenal, the extension tube is 13/16 x 13/16, super strong. No fishing pole effect on the extension pole. I used it in conjunction with a Spectracide Reach 'n Spray aerosol can sprayer to reach a white faced hornets nest 22 feet above ground nested inside the electrical wires from the telephone pole. Worked assume and definitely would recommend it.

Good pole, pretty long. The most distinctive thing about it is that it doesn't twist tighten in segments like most extension poles. Rather it latches in intervals. I have no idea if that's better or worse, but it's simpler and I think it might be more sturdy in the long run. And who really wants to buy another 16 foot pole if they don't need to.

I was very happy to find this extension pole as I own a few other brands. But after a very few uses the clip mechanism, pin that holds it and spring that hold the clapping mechanism in place are rusting very quickly.and it is stored inside. I have a brush attached to the end and dip in a bucked of mild soapy water for use.. I do not see this product lasting very long for me. I was hopefully but a poor decision me. Maybe the could make a stainless steel model....... Update...It rusted out completely very fast.. I'm Left with useless JUNK! Don't waste your money.

WAY easier to use than the other extension poles I have. This pole has a locking mechanism that makes it super easy to lock in place at different lengths. The other extension poles I've used all rely on a screw mechanism - it makes them difficult to use and prone to slipping. This one has neither of those issues. Great product!
