Works great
I purchased this to re stretch the carpet in my hallway and living room. It held up fine. It's not a professional model, but is a good value for what I needed.

Helped me get my basement back to normal after a flood
Came home from vacation and was diddling around in my basement shop when it hit me. Sniff. Sniff. Something smells "wrong." It smelled like that time we had a mouse die in the space between the basement and first-floor ceiling/floor.I got my ladder out and my 8-foot grabber (I'm not touchin' no dead mouse!), got down on my hands and knees to slide the TV stand out of the way and SQUISH! Wet carpet! We'd had several days of hard rain, and as it turned out, my chipmonks had chewed through some corrugated drainage pipes so the water dripped too close to the house and seeped into my basement. Not terrible, but enough that things were already starting to smell bad.Pulled out the offending materials, dried it all out and purchased this knee-kicker so I wouldn't have to hire a carpet company to come stretch my carpets back in place. At 47, knees are going to take a beating no matter cushioned the knee-kicker is, but all in all, it works really well. The grabber nails are long enough for most luxury carpets. Would buy again.

Easy to Use
I used this to remove a wrinkle in my short-pile carpet. This was my first time using a kicker. This one did not disappoint. It easily adjusts for grip on the carpet and for the length of the kicker. It got the job done!

Carpeted a whole house
Just moved in to a new house, couldn't find anyone around to replace carpet in my house that wasn't outrageously expensive. I have installed carpet once in my life and remember having one of these, so I bought another. This thing is great! Extendable for my long legs so I don't have to be right up against the wall while trying to kick, and collapsible so that I could fit into the closets and get the carpet in tighter spaces. We installed some thicker carpet and the adjustable teeth on this worked perfectly. Only complaint from me is cleaning. The little carpet fibers get stuck in the teeth on it and it starts to not work the same. Had to clean it out, but, you have to do that with all of these carper kickers.

Great tool
This carpet tool works better construction. Better handling worth the extra $.

Teeth in the base plate do not hold up
We bought three of these kickers an the teeth in the base plate broke out of them very quickly. We have a couple older kickers that still have all the teeth in them so maybe a bad batch of metal teeth

Only experience with a carpet stretcher
No complaints. Used it to stretch artificial turf for my landscaping business and it was effective. Can’t imagine the need for spending hundreds of dollars on one of the higher end versions, but I’m sure those products have their advantages too.
