Sienna Plein Air Supply Box

I am really happy with the Sienna Supply box. The attachment collars adjust to fit with 2 fat dials. It fit my old Dynex tripod perfect. I will probably use a clamp to a tripod leg to keep from shifting. I liked how it opened up with a piano hinge and had a separate slot for long things like brushes that can be removed. The holes for paint brushes look good sized. The finish of the box is nice. It is light. There is no pallet but I bet you could use the inside as one if you wanted or make one. It comes with a towel holder which I like. It is narrow enough to stuff in a back pack. I think paint tubes 37 ml would be fine. Watch for measurements if you use bigger tubes. Watercolor palette would be fine or pastel box. depending on measurements. Thanks!

Thé box is made with nice wood. Is perfect to hold watercolor and brushes and water pot.

Great box for safely transporting brushes and/or 40ml oil paint tubes. On site, the weight of the shelf needs some counter weight for stability so I put paint supplies in a bag that hangs on the center post or a back leg hook. The box fits standard round tripod legs. Two of the legs on my tripod have a larger diameter than usual because of an extra foam sheath. Thus l made replacement supports for the box (see photos) using "Fisch Self-Feeding Drill Bit (1-1/2") - Heavy-Duty Wood Drill Bits with 2 Cutting Edges and Non-Clogging Design for Quick, Precise Holes without Burning - FSB-094746 - Made from Forged, Heat Treated Steel" available from Amazon.

This box/shelf was a complete game changer for my plein air painting. I absolutely loved having a spot to put things down - such as tubes of paint, brushes, palette knife, sheets of paper towel - right in front of me where I can see and find them.Nicely made (finish and hardware are excellent quality), not too heavy, and adapts to just about any tripod legs.Worth every penny!

I ended up returning this item after I bought the large pochade box, but it would be invaluable with a small box.

I returned this because the brackets on this box that hold it on the tripod appear to ONLY fit on a tripod with 1" round legs like the one that Sienna sells for $200+. It would not stay on on my SLIK or m,y ONN tripods., which do not have 1" round legs. However, the Sienna is a $200+ tripod and there are a lot of good tripods out there for half that cost that don't have round legs Had it fit on my tripod, I'm sure it would have worked well, for plein air work and everything else about the box was as described. Too bad they don't sell alternative brackets (as far as I know anyway) for it to fit on generic tripods.

Perfect little shelf for under my pochade box. The finish on the wood seems to come off from drips of Gamsol and wet brushes but it still suits me fine.

Like the most:Attaches easily to my Sienna Plein Air Artist Pochade Box Easel and holds my smaller tubes of paint.The folding design allows me to close it up and put it in the backpackI love the way it fits onto my tripod. Just adjust the wood blocks as needed and set it on the legs. Lifts off. Not need for any tools to attach it and remove it.Like the least:I still have to put larger tubes into my carrier (Sienna backpack) as well as a couple of the small tubes.
