Very simple to wire in. And it is definitely working. Recommended.

The only critique I could offer is that instructions could be just a tad more clear about identfying the two different connection/capacitor types, but it's not really that difficult. But it was super simple to properly install and dropped both my in-rush and steady state current numbers significantly.

Update - the seller saw my review and reached out to help. They asked me to place a new order but then gave me a refund on it. We installed the replacement unit today. Fingers crossed it works as expected.Worked okay initially but AC compressor wouldn’t come on about two weeks later. Removed the hard start kit and everything went back to normal. Unfortunately, due to a medical situation, we didn’t get this installed for a couple of months after purchase, so it was too late to return. A complete waste of money and dealing with a failed AC unit on a hot day.

This is a cheap version of the CPS Products CSRU1 compressor saver. I didn’t realize that until I received it and thought I would give it a try. Easy install, but the Blue Star capacitor blew within 24 hrs. I removed the system and ordered the CPS Products version. A/C is running great now"

Wires are color coded so it makes it east to connect. Make sure the power to the unit is off before connecting wires and mounting the Hard start compressor to the outdoor system

Very easy to install, take about 15 minutes for a non proportional. It does reduce the pick Amperage at startup significantly as expected. I installed it on a brand new AC so I don't hear much difference when the unit starts, but that'll probably be the case on an older unit.Still wonder why this $40 add-on isn't installed by default by AC manufacturers...

When I tested it the air conditioning came on wright away, I did have the cheaper hard start on the air conditioner but they are not as good. If the unit has reached temperature by the thermostat and turns off and then turns back on with in 3 minutes the cheaper one won’t kick the air conditioning back on. But these do because they have a relay in them.

I got this hard start relay kit at the end of 2022 and by early 2023 it made some weird things happen to my unit making the fan cycle and the compressor not not work and loud buzzing coming from my unit. I recommend you buy a name brand hard start
