Well, it looks like it has threads for a lid.. anyone find a good lid (maybe with rubber gasket) to srew down for good seal?

The lid has a silicon rubber gasket ring with soft flanges. Kind of looks like threads until you use it. The silicon rubber part is removable from the plastic lid. The bottle has no threads. If you dry the silicon and dry the glass that it touches, the lid is very firmly in place. If you were to close off the bung hole solidly, then any pressure inside the carboy would push the lid up and off. I had no issue with keeping the lids on and well sealed once I understood they have to be dry. I used to tape the lid down. No need, works like it should. My one issue with big mouth fermenters is long term secondary fermentations and the large surface area letting oxygen contamination in. I use regular narrow carboys now for that task.
