This knife has great quality steel hardness for the blade, even though I was a little skeptial of this knife because of the low price. The construction is also very well made. The handle wide and round. It fits great in my hand. Its very comfortable to hold. This knif came razor sharp in the box and it also holdes an edge. I chopped four one inch branches off a tree and the knif was still really sharp. I've never heard of this brand, but that does not matter. What matters is the quality of the steel hardness. it was much better than any steel on the brand name knives I have. DO NOT go by the brand name of a knife. Most of times, brand names don't equal good quality steel hardness, period! A lot of brand name knifs that are popular use lower quality steel. I know this because I compaired popular brand name knives on Amazon with the "knif steel hardness index" web page". The blade of this knife is 440c, not 440a, which is much lower blade hardness steel. It is also heat treated to make the blade harder to hold an edge better. 440c knife steel is about half way up the "knif steel hardness index". Many people who see that the discription that says 440 steel and get folled. Well, don't get folled by the marketing. There are two hardness on the "knife steel hardness index" for 440 steel. There is 440a and 440c. The 440c steel hardness is a harder steel than 440a. Also, DO NOT go by the brand name of a knife. A lot of brand name knifs that are popular, use lower quality steel. Many knives say 440 steel in the discription, but don't tell you that it is 440a steel, the much lower knife steel hardness for the blade. IMPORTANT: The way I found this great quality steel knife on Amazon is by first going line to another web page and looking up "knife steel hardness index". You will get a web page of bar grafs of knife steel hardness from soft to hard steel for getting and holding a sharp edge. I compared the hardness on the chart to the discriptions of knives on Amazon, or if it was not in the discription then the knif steel hardness was asked in the questions of the knives on Amazon.
