Didn't like all the deceiving
The story wasn't my cup of tea. Neara is constantly questioning everyone's actions and reasoning. I guess being surrounded by the fae she has to but everyone is deceiving, manipulating and has their own agenda. And information keeps coming out after the fact. As the reader, it makes the reading choppy and I'm playing catch up to understand what's going on, who's who and why.

Fae of Nightmares
This was sooo good!!! Theres a lot of deceit and trickery and underhandedness that make up this story. The world is fantastic and terrible. The creatures and fae that inhabit this world are scary, cruel. She has built in mythology that is very unique, I've never heard of or read of before. There is a dangerous quest that is just done so good, you swear it's you doing these things. I know this review is nowhere near what I wish to convey but I would implore you to read this. It is outstanding and chock full of the creepy fae you've only glimpsed at in old folklore tales. This also has the feel of a old world gothic within. There's a fair bit of violence but done well. This has to be one of the best books I've read all year. You've got to check this out. I absolutely cannot wait for the next book as we get to travel to the other courts. I loved both Drayce and Neara, they are both fearsome characters. Go get this!!!!

This story was different and kept me interested. There was a few misspellings and I felt a little more world building with a little more background story in a few places could have made the story more.Either way it had good characters, plenty of action,, all types of fae, evil, good and romance. A good read.

Just didn’t quite believe the romance
This book was good, and I am happy to go onto the next one, it’s just that the romance is not at all what is driving my interest.I didn’t feel the oh-so-strong pull of a soulmate bond. I didn’t even honestly believe that they loved each other. It just felt so sudden and forced. In my head, this book took place over what, a week? Something like that? That being said, I enjoyed the story itself. I especially enjoyed the fact that the sex scene was so glazed over. Too many books, especially Fae Romance, become all about these crazy sex scenes and lose sight of their plot.I hope that book 2 is stronger, but all in all this was not a bad start.

A good start!
Some of my favorite books involve the fae and I think Ms. Castel is off to a good start! As far as world building and characterization I wish it was a little closer to Holly Black's writing because she truly encompasses what I think the fae realm would be like, but other than that, I can't wait to see what happens between Neara and Drayce in the next leg of their journey!!

Satisfying First Book
Took me a while to get into this one, but I enjoyed the journey. At first I couldn't understand how a lizard looking dude could be the love interest, but it becomes clear in time. Looks can be deceiving. Nice and tidy end to this one, and now the real adventure begins for Neara. Will pick up the next in series.

When a girl is searched for on Samhain night, who knows the reason?
Neara, is a special girl but not even she nor her father know just how special she is. On Samhain night her father spent much of his magic force ageing him to try to protect her. Seven years later their plan is to escape by a route that only opens every seven years, but the Fae come and then almost all their plans of any kind of escape are ruined. It is a very whimsical and scarey look into the world of the Fae, Enjoy!

Enjoyable
While I enjoyed the first three quarters of this book, the ending seemed to fizzle out. I'm not really inspired to keep reading the series, but Ill keep an open mind.

Surprising book
Even if this book may look like the classic romance fantasy it's not all it is, far from it. The author has created an original adventure story and seems to have an extent knowledge about fairy lore. Her fairies are changing and dangerous, faithful to ancient folk tales' fairies.
