Pellini - Ground Coffee Espresso Gusto Bar N. 46 Cremoso, 2x250g (Total 500g)

Having temporarily lost access to my cone burr grinder, I needed to find a pre-ground coffee fine enough for my espresso machine. None of the all-purpose grinds, which are OK for French Press/cafetiere, are suitable for espresso, whatever the wrapper says. This definitely is! As a couple of previous reviews have mentioned, it's so fine that it's easy to over-tamp, as I did on my first pass which made my machine struggle slightly, so since then I have very lightly tamped and it is superb. Really good crema, a strong full bodied flavour with much chocolate and hints of caramel, without any trace of bitterness. I do like to vary my coffee flavours slightly at different times of the day so I've now ordered the no. 3 Gran Aroma to see how that compares.

I bought this because Sainsburys own brand which I normally buy was out of stock and this was a revelation,I use it in a Gaggia Classic machine and the flavour is outstanding. It's a really powerful full-bodied coffee and there's no way I'm going back. It's also cheaper!By comparison the Pellini ground coffee seems slightly moist as though the oils are still in it, whereas the Sainsbury coffee seems dry.I highly recommend this coffee if you like a robust espresso.

This is amazing coffee.I ordered the twin pack for £4.89 on a special offer. Great value. I wish I had subscribed there and then but as I hadn't tried it before I didn't. Regret it now as sadly now it has gone up in price.So order when you can just in case the offer expires. X Enjoy this great coffee.

This makes excellent coffee, I would highly recommend! It's strong but the taste isn't too bitter and it gives an really thick crema. Only thing to note is that you'll need a air tight container to put the grounds in as it comes in vacuum sealed packs which can't really be used to store the coffee in once opened.

Coffee is a great price and the small amount that my coffee machine produced tasted perfectly fine.However it is too fine for my Delonghi Espresso Machine,DO NOT buy if you have a standard home Espresso machine as it will not work.This product I would say is better suitable to a professional machine.I have had to purchase a different coffee and will try to mix so as not to waste this one.

This coffee is ground for espresso machines - ie: fine grind, it produces good crema in my De longhi machine. Smooth taste, not at all bitter, good value in my opinion

Very nice coffee. The flavour is bold and deep and there is no bitter or acidic aftertaste. This works with my espresso machine but it struggled a little when I put in too much coffee and packed it too hard. When put in a normal amount and don't pack too hard it works just fine and makes a nice crema. I had wanted to buy no. 46 cremosa but was sold out. I tried this no. 3 instead and was not disappointed. I would definitely buy again. Superior to supermarket ones in my opinion.

Excelente para mi gusto, lo tiene todo, sabor, suavidad y cuerpo, al nivel del lavazza oro o superior incluso.Nota: para máquinas expreso no conviene apretarlo mucho, ya que el molido es muy fino

Très aromatique, bien équilibré et cossu. Mousse fine mais dense et suffisante. Vraiment un café remarquable et digeste à toute heure de la journée.

Den Kaffee habe ich für eine Siebträgermaschine bestellt. Mit seinem ausgeglichenen Geschmack sind wir voll und ganz zufrieden. Es bildet sich eine dicke Crema ( dies liegt jedoch mitunter auch an der Kaffemaschine )
