Omron M4 Intelli IT Automatic Upper Arm Blood Pressure Monitor

Knowing from my Doctor that my blood pressure is too high, I bought one of these to monitor it myself. The machine is very easy to use and produces readings which equate very well with the ones my Doctor does. This suggests that the machine is very accurate. The memory, which stores the last 21 readings, is a useful feature and there is a little booklet in which you can record your readings. The instructions are easy to follow, clear and comprehensive with useful information about your blood pressure. Batteries are included and are supposed to last for 300 readings. An excellent product, which seems to be well made and fits easily in it's supplied carrying bag. The low price increases its appeal and provides excellent value. Highly recommended then.

My mum is not long out of hospital and was diagnosed with high blood pressure and was given tablets to take for it. rather than have a district nurse come out and do it weekly i thought as i am a staff nurse i would buy a monitor and do it for her. i ordered it on fri teatime and it arrived sat morning. i took my mums blood pressure immediately and it was sky high. i did everyone else in the family and that was normal and then retook my mums,still dangerously high. i contacted nhs 24 and they sent a dr to see her. he took my mums blood pressure and it was still high and he asked to use mine,probably just checking that mine was reliable,which it was,it was exactly the same reading as the dr got with his. he prescribed another HBP medicine for her. im not recommending that everybody should be taking their own blood pressure and diagnosing themselves without medical consultation,the point i am making is that without this device i wouldnt have known my mums blood pressure was at a seriously high level.This machine is fantastic, easy to use and well worth the money. i see from other comments that they say the cuff was too small but in my case its a perfect size, first class service. would highly recommend this brilliant machine. well done. cant thank you enough

Bought this for my father. Given his health, I felt it was important to be able to monitor his blood pressure on a regular basis but really I think everyone should have a blood pressure monitor at home now. It is light weight, compact and comes with its own storage case so it is very easy to store. Extremely simple to use with its one main button system but a very useful manual is still provided. There are clear instructions on how to use this equipment properly and also other bits of helpful information. Results have been consistent with those obtained from the Doctors. I have actually noticed our GP using the same brand of blood pressure monitors. So this is clearly a reliable and popular brand. The price is great, I see little reason to go for a more expensive version and definitely see no reason to hesitate on buying this great little monitor.

This is very handy indeed. I'm into fitness and want to be able to see what my heart rate and BP is (obv I can count my heart rate or use other devices such as my phone) but you can only check your BP with this.. The price was excellent. I know my upper arm is around 15 inches on the left side. Intended to buy this + the extra cuff. I'm not a fat guy, fair enough I do go the gym but I'm not a roider or anything. I elieve most fully grown men have upper arms that are too big for the cuff that comes with this (be it to body fat, and I'm not talking about being overweight or muscle). I tested it at least on a female friend and it worked perfeclty. Pulse reading was accurate and blood pressure too. I do think it' silly how small the cuff and there's no option to just buy it with a large cuff. I now have to order the larger cuff but it's still a very good price and a great product. 5/5 if they gave you the option to choose cuff size instead of having to pay extra. Comes with batteries and a neat bag to store in. It's very straightforward and self explanatory to use and is probably as accurate as anything they'd use at you in a hospital (perhaps not a fast). Whether you're an athlete, have health problems or just a normal guy. You should get one of these. Jut make SURE TO GET a correct cuff size. Knowing your blood pressure is vital because you could have a problem or you could have excellent blood pressure (from doing good cardio workout).. in which case the smugness and confidence you get from it is well worth the cost.. and with the bag you can carry it around with you testing all your mates blood pressure. Make sure they're all healthy, or just to gloat how much fitter you are and be a total ****!

I bought this after I had my first ever high BP reading. After this, I read a lot of media and medical stuff about how BP readings are often high when done by medics and nurses in surgeries because patients are anxious. In fact, a lot of people are misdiagnosed and treated unnecessarily for high BP for this reason. Apparently, it is far more sensible to monitor one's own BP at home in a relaxed state, for an accurate reading. Indeed, turns out my high reading was a one-off, thank goodness, undoubtedly due to anxiety and my having rushed to an appointment. I wasn't even aware I was stressed - just felt a bit tense 'cause of the circumstances and rush. This purchase was well worth it to discover that I was perfectly fine and to confirm this with several subsequent readings. Thoroughly recommended - really easy to use and comforting to own at a very reasonable price. Peace of mind and a sensible way of keeping track of BP - for whatever reason.

Advised by my doctor to monitor my blood pressure regularly I took the plunge and purchased the Omron. It has a good reputation and looks well built with a handy storage bag. I would suggest the standard cuff is more appropriate to the smaller individuals amongst us, it barely closed round my arm, so I needed to buy the large cuff. This is freely available from Amazon and isn't a great expense. I have used the machine with the large cuff and it is oh so easy, almost intuitive and I can now keep an eye on my blood pressure and manage my health with greater ease. The peace of mind of having the information to hand is more than worth the low cost of the instrument, I'd recommend it to anyone who needs to watch their blood pressure

I've found this blood pressure monitor very useful. It was not just good price and prompt delivery, but also it is very good quality. I don't use it every day, because there is no need. But I've bough it for myself when I've started to feel pressure in my chest and feel like something is wrong with my hearth. Doctor can't find anything wrong (ECG didn't show problem), but they have compaired it with "standard chart". I usually have low blood pressure and thanks to this monitor I've found that actually I'm now struggling with high pressure. So when I'm feeling pressure in chest and starting have problems, I will check it with this monitor. I'm very young and having hearth problem is scary. But this monitor is very helpful and I don't need to run to doctor evey second I feel pain. I can check it myself in comfort of my home.

This is so easy to use, especially with the app, it automatically transfers your readings to it where you can view all and even share the data as an "excel" file etc. I'm just unsure about its accuracy though as the readings are all over the place, even following all the how to use instructions I get normal, grade 1 hypertension, isolated systolic hypertension etc, the app tells you all this, I've no access to another known "calibrated" monitor to compare!
