This film shows the IJN Fleet traveling by sea of course and launching there seaplanes then, firing there big guns. Time line 1941. 8:32 Min's 4th Film: "Salvage of Ping Hai". This is a very rare film, a story of the Japanese salvaging and refloating the Chinese Cruiser, probably the Ping Hai in 1938. The Japanese sunk this ship in 1936 on the Yangtze River and used cable and block and tackle to re float her. Amazing stuff. 10" 16 Min's 5th Film: "USS Panay Story". This the Newsreel of the plight of the USS Panay Gunboat on the Yangtze River. Time line; 1937. 22:50 Min's. 6th Film: "Japan I-30 U-Boat". This film is a Nazi Newsreel of the famous Japanese 350 ft. I-30 Submarine's trip to Nazi Germany in 1942. Japan and Germany were allies during WW2 and this submarine made the long 15,000 mile trip to share military assets and for good will. The I-30 was repaired in France at the Nazi Submarine Pens and after repairs and loaded with special military supplies, the I-30 traveled back to Japan with her precious cargo only to sink in Singapore after refueling.
