I've been in the market for a smartwatch for a while. I am very picky about the design and functionality. I love the look of the Samsung gear s3, just something about being able to spin the bezel reminds me about some of the watches I had when I was younger. So I was super stoked to find one one here on Amazon in the renewed section. Unfortunately this is an older model and was in acceptable condition but a steal at just 36.00. I noticed that the battery had a hard time keeping a charge and it would die within a few hours. Looking for accessories I found this replacement battery. It was pretty cheap and came with the tools to change it. It was not too difficult and took about 20 minutes start to finish to change. The hardest part for me was getting the back off without damaging the wires. Then putting it back together correctly. I would recommend taking some pictures before and during the process just to make it easier putting it back together. There is nothing solder it all just snapped back together easily. Put it on the charger and now it works better then ever and being 520ma the battery last almost twice as long. The only additional tools I use was a flat head screwdriver to gently pry the back off and a magnifying glass to be able to see the wire connections better. So now I'm into my watch for about 50bucks and absolutely love it.

This battery exactly replaced the original in my Samsung Gear watch. Now lasts at least 3 days. The installation is a little tricky but a few good videos on YouTube were helpful.The supplied screwdrivers worked well. The plastic tools for opening the case were useless.

This battery kit also included 2 screwdrivers which was noce so I didn't have to search around for the correct size and type. It also included 2 pry tools which worked ok. When removing the back cover of the watch the waterproof seal was damaged so the watch is probably not waterproof anymore. It would have been great if the kit also included a new seal.

Specific tools for installation included, although the addition of tweezers was helpful. My Samsung Gear S3 Frontier watch wouldn't hold more than an hour or two. New battery lasts +2 days. Installation is relatively easy but not completely intuitive. Instructions not included but strongly recommend You Tube installation videos available. Lost no watch settings and am happy with the battery that cost an hour of installation and was much cheaper than a new watch.

I followed the Youtube videos on how to replace battery and after watching several on repeat I caught on and the installation was a success. I was very gentle and I'm glad because I see it would be easy to break the connecting ribbons if not careful. The battery installed "backwards" from the factory installed battery, meaning that the adhesive backing in the replacement battery faced "upward" towards the watch face rather than downwards like the factory battery. Once I figured that out it all came together. Charging it overnight after install and hopefully it lasts much longer than before!Follow up: it's been about 3-4 months since I replaced the battery and it's already losing charge faster than the original battery after many years! Unfortunately, the battery now lasts a few hours before requiring a recharge.

Gear S3 Frontier Tumi Edition was down for about a year but I missed it so much, I took the risk of doing the repair myself. It's was pretty easy as long as your careful and take your time! (FYI... The plastic blue tool was pretty cheaply made but it did manage to complete the job... Bairly!) Once completed, I threw it on the charger and it came back to life! Not only did it fix the issue, but I've had better battery life throughout the day than when it was a brand new watch! What use to last almost a day, gets me about a day and a half. And that does include wearing it to bed to track sleep! Definitely Recommend trying it out!

The pry tools are garbage and the screwdrivers were pretty awful as well, felt like I was stripping the screw almost immediately. Ended up using my own precision set to get the watch open. The battery extraction tool was helpful in removing and reseating the battery connections and the battery worked great until I traded in the watch.

This battery worked perfectly in my Gear S3 Frontier. I followed a tutorial from Joe's Electronics on YouTube and used the drivers from my iFixIt kit.
