Can't Wait to Use Them!
So excited to find this set! Received them and they are beautiful and fresh. These cost at least $5.99 each in the art stores, so this was a great value with full size bottles

Amazing Inks
Love these. I use them mostly for tattoo flash sheets. The pigments are amazing and a little really goes a long way. They can be diluted or used straight from the bottle. Blend very easily. Beats ordinary watercolors any day for me.

Awesome colors
I simply love the colors. So vibrant and easy to use. Can't beat the price, either. I would give those 6 stars if I could.

Not waterproof
They say these are waterproof, but even after several hours of drying time, where they are completely dry to touch, when I coated them with gesso the colors smeared and bled. :-(

Beautiful, vibrant colours.
I was honestly so excited to get these. I've wanted a bigger range of acrylic inks for a while now. I bought the Dr. Ph. Martin's paints because they consistently get good reviews and are a respected brand. The range of colours are beautiful and are all very light-fast with the exception of the magenta, which is lower down on the scale, but it doesn't explain how fugitive the colour is in comparison, but it is the only colour to be aware of when producing artwork, especially if it's to sell, or just make sure it's sealed with a suitable varnish to help prevent any fading using the magenta ink. The colours are vibrant and many of them are single pigment colours, which are marked on the side of each bottle just above their light fast rating. The pigments are easy enough to look up online if you are interested in that sort of thing.I haven't had much practice with liquid acrylic inks before, but I have been proficient in using acrylic paint for many years, as well as experience with inks and watercolours, so using these are not great a leap in a new direction. The paint is silky and leaves a very slight satiny sheen when used at the consistency from out of bottle or if watered down can be used with a watercolour/ink type effect but with greater control. So if you find watercolours a difficult medium to control then these may be a good stepping stone to learning to use more high flow, water soluble paint and you can move into watercolours without such a leap as trying to move mediums straight from acrylic to watercolour, inks or gouache for example. They are a great set with highly pigmented colours and well packaged, which can be used as a palette as there is a well for the paint under each bottle if you wish to use it that way. The price is really good and a great way to get acquainted with a new medium. The only problem I have found with these paints and it's small, is that they have a little bit of a plasticy odour, but that's likely the packaging and with it being newly opened and just hasn't dissipated yet.

Intense colours
Intense colours... more of an ink than fluid acrylic, but it has found a place in my box of materials.
