my favorite wallet for daily use
I wanted a thin wallet so I could put my cell phone and wallet in the same pocket. My other pocket has keys, so I didn't want them to scratch the phone (or the wallet). This wallet is super thin. It is as thin as it can possibly be. It is both thin because of the thinness of the materials and how it lays out the cards. I don't think it is possible to make a wallet any thinner. The leather is good quality and so is the nylon interior. It is thin nylon, but it is high quality. There is a big difference between plastic and nylon. How do other people not know the difference?I have been using this for a couple of years. I even got a second one just as a backup in case they ever stop making this and I want another one in a few years. If they stop making this, I will just have to make a replica myself. I wouldn't want to use anything else.It is good as an every day wallet because it is thin and because the outside is nice looking fine leather it doesn't make it look like a cheap kids wallet or anything. So, it is even OK in front of other people at work or going out. It doesn't look cheap. It can actually hold lots of cards in each slot. I have at times put up to 5 cards in each slot. I normally only have a couple of cards in each though. The two cash pockets are good too - very functional. The only tiny little issue, which is very minor, is that when it is no longer brand new, the cards aren't held tightly in the slots. So, if you are not careful how you open your wallet (if you just fling it open), you may drop a card on the floor. After it happened to me twice, I quit flipping it open wildly and it has been fine since.I don't think I should withdraw a star for that because I don't see how it would be possible to make it any different. A wallet this thin is not going to be able to hold materials tightly. If they change the layout of the card holders to make it hold the cards stronger, it might be too annoying to use. So, I don't know what they could possibly do for it to hold the cards tighter, since the material is so thin.I think with this wallet, it is just a factor of its design that can't be changed. When it is closed, it is absolutely secure - there is absolutely no way for anything to slip out.

Very Good - if it lasts.
One of the few wallets where the card-slot openings face the fold (more secure). A larger surface area, so not as good for front pockets, but MUCH thinner, thanks to the side-by side arrangement of cards. Fully loaded with cards (2 or 3 in each of 4 slots), and cash, and it is still thin enough to sit on comfortably. Only a month, or two of use, so far, so I can't vouch for durability, yet - which is suspect due to it's thin/light construction. 5 stars if it makes it past a year. There are two compartments in the interior - a shallow one for bills, and a deeper one for larger stuff, or to bury less used things out of the way - very handy. If it lasts without falling apart, I'll be buying another one to have ready for when it finally needs to be replaced.

Seller completely switched products to keep high rating
The listing for this product is using reviews from a completely different product sold in the past. Do not trust the rating for this product.Original review:I'll keep this short:Good: It's thin. It holds 12-16 cards and you have to OPEN the wallet to get to your cards (they won't randomly fly out like my old, sad, fat wallet). There's a place for bills specifically and also a place for larger items. Feels sturdy and looks nice.Bad: Sides are slightly longer than a tri-fold wallet.Basically, if you need a new wallet, get this one.

Nice wallet but I'm going back to the rip stop version
I chose to review this because it was my second ALL-ETT wallet. I first had the original rip stop nylon one which did last about 3 years and started showing real wear. I decided to upgrade to the leather version. I read the reviews that this was "a little" thicker but I did not really know how to gauge that so I figured I would just give it a try. The leather version is nice and of good quality. I am giving it a 3 star rating solely based on its thickness. I feel it is considerably thicker than the rip stop nylon version of the same wallet. After having the rip stop version for 3 years I find it difficult to go back to this leather version because it is uncomfortable and bulky. Granted, I probably feel that way because I carried around the rip stop one for so long. I will probably end up going back the rip stop version. Yes it will eventually wear out and it may not look as "high class" but just from a day to day comfort point of view, it cannot be beat. One additional point, I do have some difficult fitting this wallet in some dress slacks back pockets with the button buttoned (some others commented on this fact also). I never had that issue with my prior wallet.

Amazingly thin overall, and given large number of cards it holds (currently carrying 18, and 0.75 inch thick). Best yet!
I rarely buy new wallets, not until I've worn out the previous one, but boy am a glad I did a little research and found the Allett Thin as a Dime! This is really the best wallet I've ever owned, and suites my needs for fairly high number of cards to a T. I currently have 18 cards distributed across the four slots, and it's still very slim. The leather exterior is high quality and supple, sail cloth interior is really tough while reducing bulk. I'm a front pocket wallet wearer, and this fits great in all my front pockets, even jeans, while being minimally noticeable, but is so thin that I could wear in back pocket if desired.Pros+Truly thin, even with many cards inserted.+With 18 cards inserted, mine measures 17mm or 0.75 inches thick.+Cards never fall out, due to rubber gripping material on the interior of each slot (first 25mm/one inch).+ Cash and receipt pockets are the perfect size and the sail cloth provides just enough friction to prevent cash dropping out.+Flexible thin but high quality leather exterior and tough, but even thinner sail cloth interior.+Minimum overall dimensions to still hold 4 stacks of cards.+Made in USA!Cons - none noted.Highly recommended!
