Aveeno Smart Essentials Daily Detoxifying Scrub, 5 Ounce

I have been using this for a month or so; give or take; and I feel comfortable saying that I like this product. Do I love it...not yet. First I'll start with the pro's:1. Gentle enough to use on my EXTREMELY sensitive skin. I have hyper-sensitive skin. I have to be super-careful what I use. But this doesn't rip my skin apart. For instance, the OTC apricot scrub sent me to the dermatologist after a week of using it, and it took weeks to counter-act what that product did. Anyways...2. Nice exfoliation. The effects are short-term, but this obviously isn't a professional treatment. I have dry patches on my forehead and this works wonders, but since I don't use it everyday, the patches are back by the time I use it again.3. I love that it is NOT a warming scrub. Personally, those are the biggest wastes of money.4. The price. I think I paid less that $7 for this, which is an amazing price for how good it is. I would expect to pay $16.Cons:1. The smell. It doesn't smell bad, it smells like men's cologne. Which I love, just not in a skin care product. To smell like this it has to be unnatural, probably chemical, and personally I like things as "green" as possible. I could see where some people who are sensitive to smells might find this overpowering but it's not intolerable for me, just unnecessary.2. Not sure if it is sold in stores. None of the store in my town carry it.All in all, I say give it a try if you are in the market for a good exfoliator. This is definitely the best drugstore brand I have ever used, and I've tried them all.

I received the product quivkly and on time and the price was good. I've been using this scrub for many years but this time the formula is different. Its creamier than before. I'm very curious to know if they drug store product has also changed. It still cleans my face well.

I have been using this for the past week, and I must say that I am not getting the extraordinary results as the other reviews-- yet, I did not really expect that. After using it, my skin is really soft and smooth. My pores are a bit smaller, but I think that the shrinkage will become more prominent once I have used it for a month or so. I would suggest this product to others!

Although she has just now started using this, my wife reports that it is very good. She used Biore detoxifying scrub for years, and only switched when it became impossible to get that. Hopefully, this will be around for awhile. Another crisis has been resolved. She might give it 5 stars later, who knows?

I ordered the Biore Overnight Moisturizer & Biore Microderm Exfoliator at the same time from Online Direct. However I received items in 2 separate shipments, received 1st item as promised w/o issue and love it!!! Unfortunately the 2nd item took 2x as long to arrive due to an "unavoidable error" which means a mistake was made in their shipping/delivery. Item was sent on a 2 day out of the way trip from UPS facility in TN all the way to PA and back before finally arriving. I am an Amazon Prime member so I expect the Prime eligible items I purchase to arrive as promised with 2 day shipping. Once I finally received the exfoilator I absolutely love it! I use it 2-3 times a week and love how refreshed my face feels after use! I have extremely sensitive skin so I have a hard time finding products that don't make my face feel irritated or too dry. Will definitely purchase again just will be finding another seller.

This product is unbeatable. It is just as good as the expensive dermatology product and has almost double the ounces. Can't tell the difference in texture at all and does an excellent job of exfoliating with microcrystals. Can't find it in retail drugstores anymore, so I order through Amazon for the best price! I'm hooked on this product for over a year now.

I have tried many exfoliators in the past, many have been too soft, so I felt I wasn't getting anything out of it, others have been too harsh, almost scraping my skin. But the Biore microderm exfoliator is perfect! It really does take off the dry flaky skin, and your skin feels so clean and smooth. I use it every other day, and have found that it decreases the size of my pores. I was upset when I couldn't find it in stores anymore. Went to about 6 stores, and none sold this particular product anymore. I was so pleased to find that I could get it from Amazon. I bought 2 of these for my daughter for Christmas so she could experience the same feeling. The price is great, even with shipping!

I am going to return this scrub. For all I know it may be a fine product, but it was described as containing "superfine alumina crystals, the same ones used in professional microdermabrasion." There is no alumina listed in the ingredients!
