This bonnet leaked black dye all over my pillow on the very first day I wore it. After putting the bonnet in the water to clean it, there was black dye everywhere. Terrible product!

As you can see from the picture, this bonnet left a big a mess on my pillow case. I wish I would have listened to the other reviews of the numerous others who have had this issue, or at least remembered this was an issue when I wore it for the first time so I could've wore an additional cap over it. I feel like you shouldn't have to do that, though! I really hope this company listens to all of the reviews and fixes this issue. Unless you aren't concerned with your bedding being messed up, or you don't mind having to incorporate a barrier in between this bonnet and your pillow, then I would highly recommend spending a little extra money for a better quality product! Returning this and have already ordered a different bonnet that doesn't have tons of reviews complaining of this issue.

I am white and I have very long, straight hair. For years I put my hair up in a bun at night to keep the hair out of my face. A friend recommended a bonnet to prevent damage from the hair tie and I can definitely tell an improvement in the health of my hair.I am also a very active sleeper and this stays on without issue.

I am new to the bonnet scene, but recognizing that I need to protect my hair at night, I figured I would try out this bonnet, as it was the cheapest one I could find. This bonnet fit snuggly on my head, so I am sure that it wouldn't fall off. However, it was so snug that half way through the night I had to yank it off. I am a bit tender headed, not using headbands frequently because of the pressure they cause so I am not sure that it's the product but just me.The material is satin, but it is not double lined. So the outside is the smooth, silky part and the inside is the 'rough' side of the fabric. Not sure that it matters, but if someone is looking for a smooth inner side, I would not by this one.In short, if you are looking to start wearing bonnets, don't mind the rough inner layer and aren't too tender headed, this is worth a try. For the price, I will keep this and either use during the day or give to someone else, but I think I will invest in a more expensive one that is double lined and more adjustable.

Bought for my wife, as her hair is in my face all night, wakes me up. Works fine, we can both sleep better now! I love her hair, but man it is everywhere; in my nose, my eyes, my ears, lol. This solves the issue, even if it does make her look like an old maid in the 1950s.

The rough inside is what really gets me. It's typical of cheap synthetic fabrics but it's completely contradictory to the purpose of the item.It's so stupid. The whole point is to not rough up your hair cuticles while you're sleeping. (Which it turns out was a huge problem for me without me realizing.) And keeping your curl pattern in tact. But you really need an actual silk cap (good luck finding that on Amazon, which is is turning into Wish more and more every day.) This is cheap synthetic Satin, which I expected but figured would be slippery enough to do the job. But the cap is only shiny, slippery on the outside. The inside, where your hair goes, is rough, totally negating the purpose unless you turn it inside out.The other design flaw is the fact that it holds the entirety of my length and curls right around the sides and back of my head, which means my head lays on them no matter how I sleep and the heat and pressure ruin the curls. I'm much better off with an actual silk pillowcase and just laying my hair up above my head.Aside from that, it's decently well put together, comfortable and durable. It has not bled on my bedding. I got the dark teal green and washed it before the first use and have had no color bleeding. (However others have claimed serious bleeding issues on their pillowcase so I wouldn't trust it till you know.) I wash it in a garment bag for delicates with like colors, air dry. I often use it to cover my hair and keep my head warm and pillowcase dry when I want to lay down with a treatment mask on my hair. I wouldn't recommend keeping your hair follicles or scalp wet for prolonged periods as that van be very harmful but I have to do scalp treatments and hair masks that have to sit for a while. This bonnet does a great job of keeping the inside wet and the outside dry. I even use it as a bag to carry brushes, clips and bottles in. I'm pretty hard on it and it doesn't have a single hole or rip.

Even though it is marketed as a women's bonnet, bought this for my 16 yr old son to protect his dreads during sleep. He said it fits perfectly and is not too tight or loose. He is able to sleep comfortably through the night without it slipping off during sleep. it is a good quality material and priced just right.

I love the wide, comfortable band. Long (hip length) hair fits in it, but it sometimes falls off. More problematic, it loses its dye on my bed. I've washed it multiple times and the water is always dark. I was hoping I'd washed it enough times in a row that it wouldn't do it again, but it has been a repeat offender.
