KA-BAR Gunny Fixed 9.75 in Blade Webb Wood Handle, Black (5300)

I have a weakness for knives (and other weapons) so anytime I see an interesting knife, it's "on order". I have no issues with the knife, except I wish it were a little thicker ... the spine starts off nice and thick at the handle but tapers significantly half way down towards the point. This makes it a little butt heavy for me. There's nothing wrong with that; it's just not what I expected. My only real issue is with the sheath; it's not very usable because the belt loop is 4" long and two snaps are one snap too many. However, I have to inform the readers that my preferred sheaths come from Hedgehog Leatherworks, so I am spoiled when it comes to sheaths. I think there are better buys out there, such as the ESEE-5 or the Ka-Bar Becker BK-2; I own both. So, if this is what you're looking for, it's a nice knife.

Sweet piece . Not a chopper . Light weight . But for everything else it’s a bad ass knife. Front end seems weak.
