Makita Brushless Blower, Blue, 18V

The blower is powerful enough to effectively blow leaves and small branches of finished driveways and walks. A bit less effective when used on the grass but still works well. There is a short delay before the motor reaches full speed, but barely noticeable. My 4 aH battery lasts for about 15-20 min, which is sufficient to clean the leaves of 250’ long driveway and garage pad. Lightweight, easy to handle, a bit noisy but I don’t think it will require ear protection. Battery life could be better, otherwise it’s a great machine.

This thing really took me by surprise when I pulled the trigger! I have a smaller Makita blower and that's quite weedy, despite running off the same 18v LXT batteries. This thing though is nuts... it stripped the moss off the top of the lawn!Runtime won't be long but that's a fine compromise given the power available. I have plenty of spare batteries as I have been buying Makita tools for twenty years. It's a bit loud so you should wear ear defenders when in use.It's well built like all Makita tools. In twenty years I have never been disappointed when I have purchased a Makita tool.This comes with all the nozzles, which isn't mentioned in the description but it should be.Fully recommended.UPDATE 04 NOVEMBER 2022: I am as impressed with this thing as when I first used it. It'll clear a lawn or driveway of leaves in minutes. I even used it to blow an entire poplar tree's leaves off a conservatorty roof from an upstairs window... bonkers. Yes, it eats batteries but what do you expect for the power on tap.If you already have Makita batteries (5Ah minimum) already and are considering buying a petrol blower, then reconsider and buy this instead.

Amazingly simple to put together and fits my existing makita 18v Lxt batteries in a jiffy...plug and play couldn't be simpler.Best surprise however was I thought I was only buying the bare unit but got a whole set of accessories with it including not only the handy strap for more ease of use practicalities BUT the full set of nozzles including the extender and flat nozzle... was not expecting that. The Blower itself is plenty powerful and will take care of all general household clearing duties from driveways to lawns...I live in an area surrounded by trees and will never fear the autumn again with this handy piece of kit to keep my property looking it's best in all seasons!! One note probably worth investing in extra battery packs cos this will eat up the juice on full power pretty quickly I would say about 10mins...not an issue for me as I have multiple batteries to keep me going given my investment in the tool range from Makita... overall couldn't be happier with the unit does exactly what I wanted and more with the accessories kit thanks Dinotech and great fast delivery service too!!Update to my review in Sept ...I have used this tool for soooo much more than simply blowing leaves and trimmings from my driveway and garden..... makes a great tool to quickly clear gutters of debris but mind I was standing on a flat roof so had perfect stability wouldnt recommend it up a ladder ....then the fact it clears surface water off a trampoline in a flash for dry jumping on a damp day .... great to give your air bricks a blast to keep them from being blocked... blast the shed floor clean.....blow away the cobwebs around the Cctv cameras... basically any areas of your house that could do with a quick blast of air for general maintenance then this is the tool for the job!!!

Impressed with the power and lightweight. Mine (made 2021, brought Jan 2023) came with all the attachments and as bare tool as expecting.Bought as wanted to clear leaves off gravel around house. Also plan to use to dry the car after washing.Works well although I only have 2x 3.0AH batteries which it will go though quickly if used on full power. Certainly worth investing in a couple of 5.0AH. Anything larger than an average town garden and I would want the 36V or petrol.Would I buy it again, yes, should have brought one sooner.

..when you turn it on behaving like a small child inside your house. Outside however for it actual purpose its great. Chews through batteries but this is no surprise and I have a lot of spares. You get a decent amount of tubes, extensions and a shoulder strap. Its also surprisingly good at blowing water off your car after washing it and it doubles as a nice brake cooler should you want to pretend to be a F1 mechanic for the day. Just don't use it in the house to do the dusting the consequences could be severe :-)

As always, an excellent bit of equipment from Makita. Light in weight yet powerful in performance.
