The "board" part of this clipboard is made from a compressed/tempored wood fiber product. The apparent wood grain is printed on the top layers. It is not made from wood boards. It has what appears to be an otherwise pretty standard low-profile clip. But the clip is mounted on the long side in portrait mode, We got it for use with legal sized documents. Because of Amazon's policy of pushing "featured" products at you, one has to be careful not to end up with the wrong product. In this case, we were NOT careful enough. It would be nice if Amazon had better search capabilities to avoid this. It would save them $$$ on returns. However, it is quite a bit bigger than we would like for that purpose. So for us, it was a mistake. Ledger size documents, that it is intended for, are 11" x 17". It should work for ledger size documents. But at 11.5 x 17 " it is a bit tight for that application. Normally, the board on a clipboard is a bit larger in both dimensions than the paper it is intended for. If it were 11.75 x 17.5, that might be a bit more suitable.

It's is the right size, good quality, and worth the money if you enjoy doodling alot, which I just started so I use it every day 🙏, Thank 😎 u 🙏

Lightweight to carry, strong clip, all around a good buy when people are getting others to sign petitions.

Edges are peeling off. Thought this was bamboo, but it's MDF with a bamboo looking decal. I put it in a big backpack and used it as a support for a watercolor pad 4 times. It did not get wet. It's functional, but it will get uglier as the corners continue to peel.

They are exactly as I ordered and they came in the next day.

I wanted a practical, cool way to display our football schedules and these are perfect! One stop shop with a 2 pack that includes a vertical and horizontal clipboard. After football season, I plan to display other art. Great value for the money, smooth finish, study but weightless too. I’m very happy!!

I like them, but they are really slippery on the surface.

Light weight but very sturdy. The clamp holds paper well.

I do house plans, and when I need to go to site to take measurements I can have 2 of them on the go at the same time.
