Holy! I need to slow down' This debut has to be one of the wondrous pieces put out by the producer of Dark Side of the Moon and parts of Abbey Road..considering I have amassed many renditions of this LP-vinlys, colored vinyls, Cds, enhanced CDs; Yes I would say this is well worthy, as all of Parsons' projects are!

Great music, even better if you're a Poe fan. Although, I don't the remixes as much as the originals.

I can't believe I didn't know about this album when it first came out! I had been reading about Poe lately and saw this and had to have it. It's very dynamic and exciting and I enjoy it a lot.

This was a 2 CD audio set. And while there appears to be no damage to the discs themselves, the CD case was seriously damaged. If you would care to send an empty 2 CD jewel box, I would greatly appreciate it.

Not so easy to find this one. But once you do, whoa....

ＡＰＰ（ｱﾗﾝ･ﾊﾟｰｿﾝｽﾞ･ﾌﾟﾛｼﾞｪｸﾄ）の２００７年リマスターシリーズでＵＫ盤既発のファーストアルバム”怪奇と幻想の物語”の日本盤紙ジャケ仕様です。内容は、ＵＫ盤と同じなので、ＵＫ盤購入者には不必要かな？さて、収録内容は、２ＣＤセットデラックスエディションとの名のとおり、これまでのリマスターにない豪華仕様で、貴重音源も収録されています。まずDISC１には、１９７６年初発当時のアルバム内容が復活しています。既発のＣＤでは１９８７年のリミックスバージョンしか入手できないと思うので、これは貴重です。しかも２００７リマスター音質です。ボーナストラックとして、「レイヴン」のデモバージョン、「エドガー」というタイトルの未発表曲、オーソン・ウェルズのラジオスポットが収録されています。最後に９分近くアラン・パーソンズとエリック・ウルフソンのインタビューが収録されていますが、英語が得意でない人（ボク）には、チンプンカンプンですね…続いてDISC２は、１９８７年のリミックスで、全編にオーソン・ウェルズのトークを収録したバージョンとなっています。こちらもボーナストラックが目玉です。ナント、ウルフソンがボーカルをとるこのアルバムメドレーを聴くことができます。またオーソン・ウェルズのトークやアシカかトド？の声が収録されています。おもしろいのは最後に収録の未発表曲、曲名「ＧＢＸ Ｍｉｘ」です。これまでにない一風変わったデキシー調の曲で、お遊び的な感じの一曲なのです。いずれにしても、ＡＰＰファンには貴重な内容となっているので、買わずにいられません！！日本盤がいい人、お待たせしました！！

One of my favourite albums; I enjoy Poe and this effort from The Project is admirably executed. The Fall of the House of Usher is a masterpiece in itself.

アラン・パーソンズ・プロジェクトのデビュー作にして最高傑作の呼び声高い名盤です。「タール博士とフェザー教授の療法」は後のハードプログレの先駆的な名曲ですし、組曲「アッシャー家の崩壊‾前奏曲‾到着‾間奏曲‾パヴァーヌ‾崩壊」は、美しいオーケストラをバックに壮大な展開が素晴らしいです！！２００７年のＡＰＰ全アルバムリマスターで、本作も再々発売されるようです。残念ながら２００７年リマスター国内盤発売は今のところないようなので、国内盤がいい方は、とれあえずこのバージョン購入をおすすめします！！
