Adobe Illustrator CC Digital Classroom

This should be your go to book if you are trying to learn how to use Adobe Illustrator! I design educational clip art as well as products for teachers to use in their classroom and I would typically use Photoshop and the Microsoft programs for my needs. I have always wanted to learn how to use illustrator but the task seemed daunting. This book is well thought out and it explains everything in a very user-friendly manner. The tasks and tutorials are perfect. I am now on my way to becoming an awesome Illustrator user!

I had to order this book for a class I was taking and it was VERY helpful. I went into Illustrator with very little knowledge so this book was perfect. It whas clear and easy steps and is also great for quick reference when you forget how to do something. I keep this next to my computer pretty much at all times now. Highly recommend for someone trying to tackle the world of design and editing.

Perfect for beginners, substitutes a lot of thousand of dollars on a technical school

It's an ok review. One thing the publisher needs to do is make some of the text in the Kindle version bigger, I'm talking about the images interspersed within the text showing what icon to activate. Those images are way too small to see clearly.

Good book with easy lessons. This book is a good introduction to Illustrator. I finished this book within a couple weeks and learned a lot.

Book is chock full of information about how to use most of the Illustrator program.

my wife loves it. it has access to videos that were actually done by the book author so they match up perfectly.

Great Book - I will use it many times!

Basically it is an excellent book. There is a video for every lesson beside the written text in the book. The lessons are simple to understand, the exercises are interesting. Everything is clear. logical and thorough. But: on page 119 there is a screenshot of a New Color Group expanded dialog box which I was not able to reproduce. After a day of searching and investigating I ended up at Adobe Technical Services. The technician looked for the dialog box in Illustrator CC on the Mac (I work on PC Windows), in CS 6, he did not find it. Finally he decided to contact the author and ask where she got the screenshot from. I don't know yet what is the result of his inquiry. I spent two days trying to solve the problem it did not make me happy. There are other similar problems I found in the book I think those are app's related they have nothing to do with the lessons.
