Grohflex Timeless Dual Function Thermostatic Trim With Control Module

I bought this item for the gut rehab of my Bathroom. The first Internal Controller when installed into the Grohe Universal Rough-In leaked. I had to get a 2nd one. The thermostatic (hot/cold) controller handle is in front, the diverter/volume control is the handle in the back, which is the opposite to what it should be. When you adjust the back volume control the thermostatic control creeps and doesn't lock in until it hits the middle position, so setting a different temperature becomes an annoying chore. The Unit is overly complex and is made of mostly cheap plastic parts that I can't imagining lasting the 15-20 years of the older more simpler brass units. Once you have the Grohflex Universal Rough-In installed though, you are pretty much married to this Unit and GroheFlex unless you want to do major demolition to pull out the old rough in and install a new one. I recommend getting the traditional Hot/Cold Controller with a single diverter and simple rough-in. Expected more from Grohe at this price point.

I am giving this 2 stars because it just arrived and the product information states that this is all metal not ABS plastic and the finish plate is plastic. this needs to be corrected in the product information for material should read ABS not metal! This is misleading and needs to be corrected. I cannot comment on the operation until it is installed and will do a follow up.Also the packaging that it arrived in was just the unsealed Grohe box that anyone could open. If anything is missing I will not know until my plumber installs. This also should be corrected in the future! This is usually not the case with Amazon and is disappointing.

Great product, definitely worth the extra to buy grohe. Best plumbing products that I have used.
