Good product
HAve used K&N products for a long time. Love these filters in our Dodge diesel trucks.

CAI Alternate with stock baffles removed
Looked at a 400 CAI, decided for a stock truck no benefit. Removed baffles from stock intake piping and added K & N - pleased with results. Hand calculation around .5mpg gain.

Better than stock and easyer to install than "Cold Air"
Didn't want to waist money on a "cold air intake" for a Turbo diesel and this thing works much better then the stock filter (I did drill a few extra 2'' holes in the stock box) does it improve power? debatable... Does it improve fuel economy? My old filter was full of dirt so yes ;)

Good quality filter like all K&N products.
I've always trusted K&N brand filters so I figured I'd try one on my new to me Dodge 3500. It was easy to install, milage seems the same or better than before, and I noticed better throttle response. Overall I'm happy with the purchase.

Breathing Easier
I've used K&N Products for years and have always been satisfied with my purchases. I read quite a few reviews on this one so prior to installing it I removed and cleaned my air box and drilled six 1.25" hole in the front of the box and three on the back side. After installation I went for about a 20 mile ride. This is definitely an improvement over stock filter and it was noticeable when I would accelerate quickly. I do not expect any mileage gains but will edit this review once I've had a chance to check it and report any gains/losses etc. 11/9/2015: After 1200 plus mile of driving it appears I've picked up about .5 MPG. That number was derived via manual calculation not my on board computer.

Only filters I use
Have these filters in both my third Gen Dodge Ram diesels. Have had excellent luck wth K&N filters over the years.

Perfect fit
It was a perfect fit. Much better than the cheap original filter. Don't know the increase in HP if any, however, the engine seems to responed better. We have used number of K & N products before and never was disappointed.

More power!
Yes, you get more power and throttle response. But as the air filter flows more air, you will use more fuel as my mileage dropped about 2 mpg. Acceleration smiles were far greater than the fuel frowns! :-)
