repeating beads made easy
The tools make it easy to generate beads over beads, although it takes a bit time and practice to line up the tools in a way that the sides of the tool don't rub on the freshly made beads. Gently rotating the tools sideways helps, carefully avoid that the side of the tools touches the beads to the left/right.

OK tools, no instructions
These are OK. They take a little bit of skill to use properly. Generally Sorby makes good tools, the only issue I have with them is the usual lack of instructions. In order to form beads, these tools require a gentle rocking (side to side motion) to get the chisels to bite into the wood and start the cut. They work reasonably well in hardwoods, not very well in softwoods. The beads formed are very accurate but occasionally there is some chipping, but I think a bit more practice may remedy that. The question comes up as to how to sharpen: I've seen different suggestions given in YouTube videos not all of which I agree with. One suggestion that may work is to use a small dowel wrapped in an appropriate grit of sandpaper.

Work Well Overall
These work better on some types of wood than others. Not recommended for blanks that chip easily, but they work well overall when you want to create beads that are symmetrical and evenly spaced.
