This game has you and your friends trying to get as many points as possible by strategically placing your rescued cats on to your ships.This game has rogue-like and deck builder elements and is unique each time you play. You build a hand of cards to use from the shared draw pile and strategise on the fly as you choose which cards to keep, which to pass up, and which to play on your turn. Your main resource in this game is fish, which is used as currency to afford cards and lure cats on to your ship - you'll need to keep an eye on the amount you are spending and plan your purchases far ahead in some cases! Each players strategy to earn points will change as the game is played out and can make for interesting methods of play, where one player might be trying to hoard particular items whereas another might simply be trying to get as many cats as they possibly can.The games multiple pieces; cards, tokens and game board pieces are all incredibly well produced with quality artwork and finishing, ensuring they will last a very long time - we ended up sleeving our cards to make shuffling easier however this is not necessary.The rules can be a little intimidating, especially for players who are not accustomed to games of this type, so the first game might be a little trail and error. Once you've played a little and have an idea for the type of options available to you the rest will fall in place easily!You'll have a great time with this game. Especially if you love cats!

I brought this as a christmas present for a friend. It arrived very quick. and she loved the present when she open it.played it finally the other day. its an amazing game. Though as we learnt from our first play through, read the rules fully and to the end before starting to play. As we accidentally got into playing after learning how to play the turns, and discovered at the end when it came to scoring that we missed an important game mechanic. but all and all, my friend loves her new game, and cannot wait to play another round it in the near future

Took a couple of rounds to get used to but would highly recommend this game, a lot of fun and has high replayability.

Love this game.It was a faf to set up and get used to, as the instructions need simplifying and rewording in places.But a quick youtube vid sorted that out.Love playing it. It is one of our faves.Only downside: the single player is a big naff. Hard to understand the instructions, and a bit unfair that your 'opponant' doesnt lose points in scoring, but you do.

Great family game. Easy to pick up and has a kids mode to play with younger players!Also the art is pretty and the cats are adorable.Multiplayer Tetris with cats 👍

The game is in German, despite the description saying it is in English. My own fault really given that I didn't read the reviews or questions and answers before my order. I will be buying this direct from the games creator for sure.

I've bought plenty of games only available in languages other than English, but Isle of Cats has lots of cards with text written on them which the family really needed in English. The manual is available for DL in English, but not most of the components.

This is a unique board game with great art and design and well crafted rules. There is a lot of replayability here: the strategy you implement can we wildly different depending on your cards. The rules have a nice balance of being sophisticated for a board game but approachable. There are a LOT of cards in the deck, and only one for which we could not see any advantage in playing. I put this game at my highest tier of the best games I have played, along with Carcassonne ad Catan.

Die Insel der Katzen ist ein optisch sehr gelungenes Spiel für die ganze Familie.Mit kleineren Kinder ab 8 Jahren kann man einen besonderen Familienmodus spielen, der einige Elemente außen vor läßt. Im Familienmodus macht es aber nicht weniger Spaß.Dieser Modus bringt eine Mischung aus zufälligem Ziehen von Katzenlegekarten und auslegen im Tetrisstil, eigenen zusätzlichen Aufgabenkarten. Es wird auch den jüngeren Mitspielern nicht langweilig.Ich kann dieses Spiel sehr empfehlen!

La descripción dice que una ronda es más o menos de 60-90 minutos... nahhh por lo menos te avientas 2 horas de pura estrategia gatuna! El juego es muy divertido, las instrucciones al principio son un poco difíciles (pero para eso existe YouTube! Busca tutoriales!) pero conforme vas avanzando se vuelven intuitivas y lógicas. Los tableros, fichas, tarjetas, etc... todo todo de muchísima calidad y hecho para durar. Ya viene en camino mi expansión para hasta 6 jugadores... que por cierto, es un juego que tiene inclusive un modo Solitario. Esta fantástico.

Abbiamo scritto al venditore che ci ha risposto che il gioco era in inglese (come da immagine di copertina) invece ci è arrivato in tedesco. Un vero peccato.
