Jiffy 3" Round Deep Peat Pots - OMRI Listed Organic - 1080ct Case

Have been using these pots for about a year now. They're deep, which provides an opportunity to grow a deep root (some seedlings do, others don't, but I use these for all of them because it's easier.) Potting up is easy and results in no root shock. Potting in the ground is equally easy. That said, the shape and the lack of appropriate tray options are terrible. All they want to do is fall over. One must very carefully stand them up in a tray and just sort of leave the tray where it is. Even then, they get tipsy as the soil settles and they need reconfiguring. Trying to get a hood over them in the standard trays is a very careful task--and having to take that hood off to water and replace it can be even worse. All the same, I will keep using them until somebody comes up with a more rectangular version and an appropriate tray/hood setup.

I assume these square based bottoms are designed to fit in a bespoke tray. Unfortunately, I am using without the tray, and resultanty, these pots are extremely unstable and will tip over at the slightest provocation.

I liked the price, but have only used 1/5 of what I bought...had to buy a large quantity to get the lower price.
