Sunnydaze Staggered Rock Falls 13.5-inch 6-Tier Tabletop Fountain with Colored LED Lights - Electric Submersible Pump

The media could not be loaded.  The big reason we gave this item a 3 star rating is because of how annoying it is to get this fountain to our liking. Depending on where you are planning to put this, it may be easier for you.We put this in our bedroom next to the bed. It's easy to set up. However, it's impossible to get it how we want. For example, either the water flow is too loud, the water pump is too loud, the water overflows, or the LED lights are too bright. At first the water sound was surprisingly louder than we thought it'd be. In addition, the last part of the fountain where it goes on the LED lights, it ended up splashing all over. Naturally we thought to reduce the amount of water in the fountain. Sadly, we can't even reduce the water level very much since once it gets too a certain point, the water pump ends up getting louder and making a suction sound because there's not enough water to fully submerge the pump itself. So we're stuck with the louder water noise. We then used river pebbles to help quiet the water flow. This helped a decent amount to reduce the noise, and it helped greatly with preventing the water from splashing out. However, this then just led to a higher water level at the bottom tier where the LED lights are, and then the water slightly over filled and started to slowly trickle over the side. But if we reduce the water ever so slightly, then that suction noise from the pump comes back. If we remove the rocks, then water splashing around starts to happen. This leads us to the next thing, the LED lights, more specifically the green one, are quite bright. If the fountain is several feet away, this wouldn't bother us. But if the fountain is near us, the lights are a bit annoying. The river rocks help reduce the light intensity by covering them up. But then you gotta position the rocks a certain way, which is annoying. On top of that, the hole at the bottom tier that leads the water back to the water pump is decently large, so then the river rocks are likely to fall back and into the pump area...which is annoying. We do have several river rocks that are kinda translucent, so the LED lights still shine through a decent amount. Overall, we try to fix one thing, but then another issue happens. At this point we just let the pump be a bit louder. We'd rather have that than water leaking or splashing out.The pump itself isn't horribly loud. With it being by the bed, we can definitely hear it. It'd be much less a problem if it were further away. But then we wouldn't hear the weather flow...which is the point of buying a fountain. As stated before, because of the water leaking over the edge, we have to lower the water level, which then leads to the pump being even louder.The one video we're sharing shows how the fountain looks, along with how the pump sounds with the suction noise when not enough water is added.

UPDATED 5 MONTHS LATER.I'm attaching several pictures and explaining as we go.•First picture: I placed a letter size folder right beside it for size reference.•Second picture: Reference on up to where I filled it up, I also made sure that it doesn't spill from any side or the back. The lights are amazing, they look great. The green light is kind of really bright but it doesn't bother at all.•Third picture: There is a piece at the back that comes wrapped in bubble cushion, I love it how it slides in and leaves enough for the cable.•Fourth: You'll see the pump and a connection to the lower-right. That cable is the connection of the pump and the lights. I disconnected them and re-connected them to make sure there in tight. There is a round plastic that you turn that is protection the connection between these two hardwares.• Fifth picture: I made sure the plastic tube was connected tightly to the pump. I had little resistance on getting the pump to sit upright. With one hand, grab the plastic tube and push upwards so that you can move the pump to sit upright (don't pay too much attention to the rubbers sitting at the bottom of the pump, they don't really stick, but the pump doesn't move anyways due to the tube).Overall, this is an amazing product! I have it sitting right beside my computer. The sound is beautifully amazing, not too loud, not too quiet. Can make phone calls without anyone asking "What is that noise?". There is no spillage from the water falling anywhere. No papers getting wet!Only thing was a piece of the material was loose inside, I couldn't figure out where that piece went but it wasn't from the outside, so I just left it in there (you can see it in one of the pictures).***EDIT*** I received the product yesterday. Installed today and by the end of the day, one of the lights died. I contacted the seller via Amazon and within the hour they replied with the tracking number of the replacement piece free of charge without needing to send back the defective one! AMAZING! Thank you for standing by your product!***2ND EDIT*** I've read one recent review, I don't have any issues with the pump. The pump is REALLY quiet, unless I put my ear right beside the fountain I can hear it slightly working. It doesn't create any vibration, I do not feel the pump anywhere whatsoever.***3RD EDIT (5 MONTHS)*** The pump has gotten really REALLY LOUD. I'm going to try to figure out why it is getting so loud. I've had some spillage but I placed a cloth underneath the fountain. What I've seen with this fountain is that I do not turn it on every day but it is making me believe that the increased noise is due to that.***4TH EDIT*** I contacted the seller and received a pump free of charge 2 weeks ago! I am amazed! The pump has to be cleaned every month at least with a scrub and the pump must be submerged completely at all times when working. So far so good, all I hear is the water running.

there is a lot of sound in our townhouse this kinda of buffers it out. I did choose it because it is said to have a loud pump but that seems to make the water trickle louder too. So you can pick and choose what you need for example I tried to use this in bedroom for sleeping white noise but the pump is too loud but I did Awwwhhh at the sound of the water which is substantial.It is necessary to keep something underneath and i think for a lot of the reviews if the water is low and you do not add water that eventually is not good for the pump.I did add water while it was on and turned it off and then it did leak so be aware of that if you add it to high it will not leak while it is running but might be too high when it is shut off.Also add the algae stuff which I didnt do and it do grow!Other than that Ive had it for about a month now and extremely happy with the purchase. its made my life more relaxing

Thought the unit leaked at first but found the problem. Good good piece.

Initially my wife was extremely pleased. It worked extremely well . However after a couple of weeks it inexplicably leaked water all over our mantelpiece. I assumed we had overfilled it. Not so. After a few days the same thing happened. Cannot find a leak so kept blaming ourselves. Now, after the third time have given up. Cannot find any hole in the unit but this is not acceptable. Have had water fountains before and never this problem. Suspect this is a one off but now past the 30 day return policy. Too bad. It looks really nice.
