With the holiday season at hand, young party planner Jennie Stanton learns that her boss, Petra, will be retiring after Christmas and hopes she will be left in charge of Petra s Parties, New York s premiere event planning service. Jennie s hopes fade when Petra s charming and handsome nephew, Nick, arrives on the scene and Petra announces that he will take over the business. When an opportunity to plan a toy store s Christmas Eve party arises, Jennie runs with it, arranging a warm and traditional affair in the same vein as the Christmas parties that inspired her as a child. As Christmas Eve approaches, will Jennie open her heart to find love for the holiday?

Great Christmas Movie!
I consider myself a Hallmark Christmas movie fan and have watched many of them to this point. Some are good and some are really good. This movie to me is really good! The male lead character Nick (Steve Lund) really carries this movie with his charm, natural humor, and overall acting ease. He really does a great job, and to me makes the male character shine which is not as common in Hallmark movies, as the female lead usually does this. Speaking of the female lead, Jennie (Torrey DeVitto) does an amazing job as well, and has a great chemistry with Nick. I enjoyed seeing her strength as a professional woman, but also her very vulnerable emotional moments, which were very well executed by her.For fun, I kinda mentally rate Hallmark Christmas movies on a scale of 1-5 (1 = not good; 5 = amazing) on these factors that I have noticed contribute to a great movie experience for me:Story: 5Acting: 5Chemistry of Couple: 5Christmas Atmosphere/Set Design/Location: 4Don't miss this one!

Sweet
I liked this movie, it was sweet. I just wish it had better flow. It was more like a series of scenes patched together than a cohesive story. It is family friendly.

One Of The Best Christmas Movies Ever!!!
The acting in this movie was very good. Torrey DeVitto and Steve Lund were great as the leads. The storyline was charming and not as predictable as most Hallmark movies are, and of course there was a happy ending, which is really welcome these days. This is a clean movie that embraces community and family values, and the spirit of giving at Christmas.

“I don’t do anything, I delegate.”
Interesting. The main character (Torrey DeVitto as Jennie Stanton) is put forth as an expert party-planner, the best in the business. And yet. When paired with a complete novice (Steve Lund as Nick Forbes), all her ideas fizzle and he proves more adept at doing her job than she does! Makes one wonder just how good she was before he came along to fix everything. The boo-hoo part of the story involves Jennie being passed over for promotion when her boss (the fabulous Linda Thorson) gives the business to her nephew instead. He is family. He is an actor who doesn’t know beans about the business. But he is quite good at it because he has personality and pizzazz while she’s just fussy. At one point he humiliates her while he’s doing tricks at a bar. As we all know, humiliation is one of the finer points to any good romance. Meanwhile, she scorns and ridicules him because that too leads the way to a great romance. When he takes over one of her accounts can a wedding be far behind!Sheesh. Can I have at least one romance where the couple doesn’t start out going for each other’s throat!!! They eventually flirt over hotdogs. They eat an inordinate number of hotdogs over the course of this movie.

Great movie! Steve Lund is amazing!
Love Steve Lund in anything, he is great. His Hallmark movies are usually my favorite. This is a sweet movie, love how he stands up for Jennie even though she wasn't always so nice to him since she thought he was taking her place in the party business. Love the message that the Christmas party represented in this movie, a party for the people.

Excellent leading lady and man
Torrey Devitto and Steve Lund were wonderful. The only negative is that there is too much of the Petra role. Much of her screen time should be eliminated. I especially disliked her yelling at Nick and Jenny when they were arguing about something. It would have been for better to let them arrive at some kind of conclusion to their disagreement instead of having them settled like little children by what we were supposed to see as "the wise old lady."
