Durable and simple.
I used this bag for a study abroad in Europe and it saw a lot of action. It was perfect for carrying around my laptop (a very large Toshiba) as well as a notebook, thin textbook, camera and umbrella. Beyond that, it didn't fit too much else, but I was able to use it for a weekend trip and it fit three changes of clothes, several small souvenir items and toiletries, which was impressive. It's durable and if you purchase a darker color, dirt doesn't show so it looks good. There is a useless leather strap on the side that is annoying because it will hit your legs as you walk, but you can easily remove it. The straps on the front of the back are fake but can easily be secured so they don't swing. Another bonus is that the bag zips shut but the flap also secures with velcro, so it makes it harder for pickpockets. There's also a zippered pocket on the inside and a zippered pocket on the outside back of the bag that are good for storing items you need to get to quickly or keep safe. The strap is strong and firmly secured to the bag so I haven't run into any weight issues (other than my own physical limits) and the only downside is that the bag kind of collapses when you take things out. It gets floppy and hard to manage and if you're in a hurry, it can be a fit frustrating.A normal sized macbook would fit perfectly, and a larger PC has a very high chance of fitting. My laptop is one of the larger, newer models and it fits with just the slightest hint of wiggle room. Overall, pleased with the purchase. It's not expensive, and it gets the job done.

Style points and simple use, but not the best everyday bag for me
Look: I like the look of this bag, simple yet stylish. the leather straps can be used to tighten the bag if necessary, but are not used for the actual closing of the bagUsability: here's where a star drops. the bag closes with a velcro on the front. which I dont necessarily like. opening the bag while the bag is around your shoulder is a hassle...and annoying. The bag has no support, so unless you have a peice of cardboard or a binder or a notebook to keep its shape, it will just fold over on you. This makes opening and accessing items in the bag rather difficult unless you take the bag off. Inside does give some space and areas to organize yourself.Quality: my only concerns with this, again is how flimsy it is, but also that the shoulder strap for mine has peeled off the side of the bag. Like, it seems this was glued on, not actually stiched? I used to use this for a laptop. Now i use it for just a notebook and small items (if I do use it). So I would be cautious of using this for 'heavier' loads. There are definitely bags out there that can support some serious weights, and still be comfortable and accessible around the shoulder This one plusses on looks and basic use.

Great bag!
This bag works great. It was able to fit my 17" laptop, albeit was a tight fit, while also fitting notebooks and textbooks. The canvas material is very durable and after 3 months of heavy use it has stood up spectacularly. There is only one main compartment inside the bag with a few, small pockets for things such as pencils, phone, etc, (anything larger than those things wouldn't fit within the small pockets).A few small things bothered me about the bag though. The leather straps are more for decoration than any structural purpose. First off, the two straps on front don't actually hold the bag closed. There is a zipper underneath the flap that contains the main pocket, and the flap is held down by Velcro. The leather straps on the front have helped me when I go hiking though. A rolled up towel or blanket will fit underneath the straps pretty well. There is a leather loop strap on the side of the bag as well and frankly, I pulled that strap off within a week due to its uselessness. If you don't mind the leather straps being fairly useless and just for show, this bag is great. The compartment is large, it has a number of smaller compartments within and the material is extremely durable.

Mixed Review
I loved this bag until the lining ripped away from the side. I love the outside pockets the roominess of the bag. It has traveled with me to Italy and the Grand Cayman Islands and then the inside lining ripped. Since I love the outside of the bag I'm actually going to bring it to a seamstress and have them remake the lining. If you're going to make a durable bag make a durable lining, so if you are going to use this for a laptop, books and supplies beware of the lining it won't hold up.I bought two of these one for me and one for my sister. She doesn't carry anything heavy so hers is still just fine. I use mine for a laptop, books and other sundry items and the lining is ripped from the seams.

Not bad
I bought this bag mainly for when I ride my motorcycle. I wanted something small that I could put my laptop in but still had space for a few other items. The cloth is good quality, and the leather accents are a nice touch. For me, the lack of multiple pockets isn't a big deal. However, I would have appreciated a small zippered pocket on the from flap for quicker access to certain items (such as my wallet or cell phone). Having to open the front flap is one extra step that prevents me from being as lazy as I would like. The wide strap keeps the weight of the bag from hurting my shoulder while I ride my bike or walk around, which I appreciate. Overall, I like this bag and am glad I purchased it.

Side bag
When I received the bag by mail, It camed really packed and secured. However I expected the buckles in the front to really be buckles, however they were there for decorations. I liked the bag, but the only thing I did not like was that it was Velcro. I wish itwerethe buckles that helped the bag close and not the Velcro. And another thing it has a small belt on the side of the bag that I did not know what it was the use of, it just hangs on the side, which it looks weird. I'm guessing it's for some cup holder. Either way it looks funny. You may decide to take it off which is what did.
