Airbrush Users Buy With Confidence
I was at a loss when shopping for a 1/8" quick disconnect for my new Iwata airbrush. I tried the local hobby shop but they only had the Iwata brand which was $25. I then tried the other local hardware stores, the BORG and BBRG, and finally the local cheapie freight and none of them carried anything smaller then 1/4 fittings. After looking everywhere else I decided to try Amazon(probably where I should have looked first) and was pleased to find 2 results for my search. One of the fittings had some reviews (including some negative ones) and this one didn't have any. It was half the price so I decided to be the guinea pig and ordered it. It arrived a few days ago and I just had the opportunity to get my airbrush out this morning and try it out. First let me say that many of you will be happy to hear that it works great. It doesn't leak at all as far as I can tell. I didn't put it under water or anything but the connection is silent and I couldn't hear or feel any leakage coming from the threads on either side or the fitting itself. I used thread wrap on one side and left the other side bare just to see if it was necessary for an air tight connection. The connections on both sides were just as air tight so I don't think it's even necessary to wrap the threads when installing the fitting. As far s comparing it to the other fitting available on Amazon I can't comment. However in my opinion for almost half the price for a product that I know now actually works, there really is no need to be undecided as to which to buy. Save yourself some money and pick this fitting up for your airbrush!Disclaimer: Please make sure that your airbrush actually uses an 1/8" thread size. Some brands use a metric/semi-proprietary sizing in order to get you to buy only their accessories. If you purchase a 1/8" coupling you will notice the pieces will screw together but will not fit securely and will not be air tight.... then you'll probably leave misinformed and unjustified negative reviews on a product that wasn't designed to use with your particular airbrush. As with anything, just make sure you do your research and educate yourself before you make your purchase and it will save you many headaches.

Airbrush Quick Release -- works, but differernt products from different Amazon sellers
There are a number of sellers offering airbrush quick connect/disconnect fittings for this one listing, and prices seem to vary widely. For my new Master Airbrush kit I needed 4 quick connects (compressor and 3 brushes), and so considered the seller Beauticom whose cost was substantially lower than other sellers for this item, and has an ok rating. What arrived are indeed 1/8 BSP quick connects compatible with my setup. However, they look slightly different. I found that coupling the 2 parts together took some effort, more than I felt was needed, and discovered that the tiny "O"-rings inside the receiving side are DELICATE, easily distorted, easily dislodged, and easily ripped. Therefore, the coupling leaks. Scratch one of my quick-connects, luckily at the reduced cost I had decided to order a spare. The remedy, if you choose this seller, is to apply a light coat of petroleum jelly to the male side of the quick-connect, and carefully mate the two halves while rotating them in opposite directions to help lubricate that O-ring as best as possible. I used a Q-tip and a tube of Vaseline Lip Balm, don't goop it up, just apply a nice coating. Thereafter I found the remaining couplers connected and disconnected fine, though there remains a slow leak somewhere, perhaps at the coupler and perhaps not, nothing to fuss about.A fair amount of force is needed to compress the coupler halves together in order to get them to release, but feel this is an advantage -- better a tight grip than a loose one, and also indicates that there is pressure on that tiny O-ring, meaning it's still there.Your options are to purchase couplers elsewhere at double and quadruple the cost of Beauticom. I'm satisfied with my choice and would order again if needed.

Minor issue
I ordered 3. 2 were fine and one leaked. Since the leaker was the one I connected to my primary airbrush, I swapped it out with one I had put on an airbrush I don't use much and now neither of them leak. Nothing I tried would keep the leaker from leaking on the primary, but the swap left me with no leakers and no problems. Go figure.

Perfect fit for my Mr. Hobby airbrush
This is a perfect fit for my airbrush by Mr. Hobby (PS-289). It's been in use for a couple months. No leaks, solid connection, and great price.

Very needed
I recently got back into modelling. Painting model aircraft requires using numerous colors and types of media. It requires changing and cleaning the airbrush and cups. Adding this quick-disconnect coupling set sure beats unscrewing the air line fittings countless times. Good investment.

quick release
product came in earlier than expected. Tried the quick disconnect last night and worked perfectly no air leaks what so ever. Very pleased thus far. Will purchase again.

surprisingly good!
I honestly find it hard to believe how well these work. I was certain they would leak considerably, but I run 13 air lines at a time and all 13 quick connectors pass a leak test with soapy water. I will buy more if I ever have a need, but so far they work perfectly and feel durable. I am a fan.
