Red Knife Culinary Set - Improved 2.5mm - Well Balanced 6 Piece Stainless Steel - Red Magnetic Cutting Board

This is my first magnetic knife board and I absolutely love it. It does not take up the amount of room a box-like knife set requires--plus one can see the blades so there is no guessing as to which knife is which. This is the perfect answer if you are hesitant to mount a magnet strip to the wall. The knives are sharp and cut clean. Not being able to put them in a dishwasher is not a problem at all -- since really one shouldn't do that to begin with, the blades on any knife will become dull faster that way. They clean up easily with hand-washing.

When I purchased the set I was very happy with its modern look and the sharpness of knives. This review is after 5 months of use and I want to warn other customers. The knives are still sharp, but not as they were in he beginning. But the most upsetting thing that the red rubber on the handle of the knife started to peel off. I am not sure whether it's been caused by the use of the dishwasher, but there were no instructions prohibiting the knives to be dishwashed. I also noticed that the price went up from $41.99 to $49.99. Just an observation. Hope it helps to other customers.

Maybe I've unwittingly suffered from owning dull knives my whole adult life, but these knives from Culinary knocked my socks off! - it was like I was on a Ginsu commercial! I didn't know knives could cut like this!! So far I've used all 5 knives and all of them are razor sharp. I promise to come back and adjust my rating if the others don't follow suit or if they don't last. But color me 100% satisfied, this is the best kitchen purchase I've made since the Pampered Chef Mix n' Chop!

Recieved diffrent version of the knives. Misleading picture displayed. The whole reason i bought these knives instead of a more expensive brand was that (in the picture) they all displayed a diffrent, thicker knife bolster. Was very dissapointed when they arrived, box was already opened and taped up something awfull, they are very light, have a very small bolster (not the one displayed) and the whole knife feels more like aluminum than steel.

Love the color, it is my favorite (red). Very unique with the magnetic board to hold the knives on, love that feature. The knives are sharp and are easy to cut with as well great handle feature. Feel very comfortable in my hand. The only dislike I have is it should have come with a cover, so when not in use can be covered to keep dust off of the blades.I did get as a discount as for review but all in all very satisfied with the set!!

FYI, this set does NOT contain a steak knife as description says. It is just the 5 knives and block as shown. I just received them, so haven't had a chance to use them yet.

They say they are comparable to the rada cutlery but they do not cut like the radas and the are more expensive per knife than the rada knives are

Awesome knife set for the price. Bought a magnetic bar to put on my wall instead of the cutting board. The cutting board is wood so don't leave it in a sing of water!
