Threading is wrong. This hood is supposed to screw into the lens or the filter on the lens, but the threading is not the same as the standard threading for 95 mm lenses/filters. This hood is entirely unusable. It cannot be installed.

Threads on the lens were fine and the thread on the hood is course, unable to use hood because of that.

The cheap plastic threads on this hood will not screw onto a precision Nikon metal threaded hood.

Doesn't fit my sigma 50mm to 500mm

I tried this hood as a slightly cheaper replacement for the one I lost, and it never really worked well. It screws into the lens but was constantly knocked loose at the slightest bump. Then, when my camera received an admittedly harder bump, the ring on my lens where it screws on cracked and I could no longer use this hood. I finally ended up doing what I should have in the beginning and ordered the original hood from Tamron.
