When it's working as intended, it's great. Obviously, you can use it for android and windows phones but you can also use this to communicate with Xbox One and PS4 (that's why I bought it). But there's a wiring kink in the 3.5mm end of the cord. I bought two of them and they both, just from normal use (including just possibly getting snagged on a couch corner or from connection bouncing from running or doing other dynamic exercising). The wiring inside the rubber layer starts becoming lose at the 3.5mm end and one side loses sound until you put pressure at that 3.5mm from pinching the wire. I like them a lot, I bought one in the past but I broke that myself (I ran with them multiple times, wire bouncing all over the place and the thing still worked great), so I just swallowed my anger and bought two more to be on the "future proofing" side. This time, I'm disappointed. They just started shorting out themselves. Be cautious and look at there return/exchange policy to know what's up. I might give these guys a call and see if I can get some replacements at no cost.

Got this to use with Bose Qc25 headphones and Samsung Galaxy S4. It works, meaning that everything sounds fine, and I an actually control the volume up and down; the latter is something you can't do with the stock Bose cable.Construction The cord is very flat and thin - very different from the thick and rugged stock cable - thus, this one feels cheaper.You know that thing where you can turn a cable plug about 45 degrees and the sound gets scratchy and half of it cuts out in one ear, and you can turn it another 45 or so degrees and the sound comes back as it should? Do you know this phenomenon? Well, mine does that. Yuk.

Just received this cable for my Bose OE2 headphones and they work just as shown for Android. One would think that Bose would get the hint that there are more OS out there besides Apple and make all their products work on the same plane. Instead we have to purchase off market products, that by the way work great. I have a Galaxy s3 and it does not fast forward or reverse the song, but it does raise and lower the volume. I will take it.It also will pause the song to answer a call. I haven't tried the mike yet.

We recently purchased a Bose OE2 and wanted to add the Inline Remote Control Microphone cable. The cable coming out of the Bose OE2 has a male 3.5 MM connector. The cable has a 2.5 MM male connector that connects to the headset. I looked for a 2.5 female to 3.5 femaole connector but could not find one. So far this cable is useless to me. It may work on the OE2i but not on the OE2.

I used mine at work for a connection from my PC. It lasted 2.5 years so its not that bad, but like many of the other negative reviews, the wire near the piece directly before the headphones jack has failed and I only get the right speaker.

they got the right version now but the volume buttons don't work on the iphone.

Does a great job of proving clean audio from my smartphone to my Bose headphones. Has a nice little hook that keeps the relatively long cord out of the way which is especially great for when I go running. I mostly use it for running and working at the office and it does a great job in both situations. No difference in audio quality from the original Bose cord to this cord.
